We understand your concern and are here to intercede with you in the name of Jesus Christ. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the authority we have in Jesus' name, as He said, If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:14 WEB.
Firstly, we want to acknowledge that you've come to the right place by calling on the name of Jesus. It's only in His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Acts 4:10-12 WEB reminds us, in the words of the apostle Peter, Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even in him doth a man become sound. This is the stone which was set at nothing of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner. And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.
Now, let us address the situation with your daughter and the man who is courting her with the intention of marriage. We commend you for recognizing the spiritual warfare at play and the need for divine intervention. As it is written in Ephesians 6:12 WEB, Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your divine intervention in the lives of our sister's daughter and the man courting her. Lord, You know the plans You have for them, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. We rebuke any and all attacks of the enemy against their emotions, their relationship, and Your plan for their lives.
Father, we ask that You would bring peace to this situation. Lord, your word says that may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 WEB. So, we ask that You would fill them with Your joy and peace, that they may abound in hope. Your word also says that you will keep in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 WEB. We pray for their minds to be stayed on You, Lord.
Lord, we also pray for their emotional well-being. We ask that You would comfort them, guide them, and strengthen their bond in You. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, anxiety, or fear that may be causing emotional turmoil.
Father, we also lift up the man who is courting her. We pray that You would give him the strength to lead, to be open with his emotions in a godly way, and to seek You first in all things. We pray that he would be a godly example, a spiritual leader, and a reflection of Your love for Your church.
We also pray for your daughter. We pray that she would find her peace in you and trust in you with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
Father, we ask that You would guide their courtship, that it would be holy, pure, and undefiled. We ask that You would prepare them for marriage, that they would seek Your will and Your glory first in all things.
If there is anything in their lives that is not pleasing to You, Lord, we ask that You would reveal it to them and give them the strength and grace to repent and turn away from it.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would surround them with a hedge of protection, that You would guard their hearts and their minds in Christ Jesus.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
