Beloved of All
Please in the name of Jesus that is above every name, help my daughter (###) and her boyfriend (###) in their relationship. I believe that they are God honoring. They both have a lot on their minds and hearts. My mom passed away and I know it’s left my daughter broken hearted and sensitive, even though she might not realize that it has affected her like that. He is at a crucial point with his athletic career as well as trying to figure out college tuition for the next semester. He tends to bottle things up and just let life happen, but he does apply himself athletically, but he doesn’t talk about it or try to discuss solutions. My daughter can kind of be a nag, then she gets her feelings hurt and says she doesn’t feel cared about. I think they both just need to communicate. They have had a lot of growth and maturity over the past 2 years and I thought we’re at a better place. But in their sensitive states right now I don’t thrive they are communicating well or considering one another better than themselves. I’m concerned that my daughter is in a bad emotional state. And with the loss of my mom just 2 weeks ago this is a heavy burden for me. I’m asking God for His grace over this situation and divine intervention because I know that they love each other and God has shown and confirmed many times that they have a future together and the enemy is attacking when they are both so vulnerable. I’m asking God to defend them, and by His spirit speak to her boyfriend (###) and convict him by way of grace and mercy and help him to love my daughter in her pain and treat her like a sister in Christ. And by the grace of God speak to my daughter about caring for her brother in Christ and seek to understand his struggles and have compassion. And that God would use what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for His purposes and His glory. That their communication would grow and that they would learn about themselves and each other ways to at they can support one another. Let it be according to your word, Father.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep concern, lifting up your daughter and her boyfriend in prayer, knowing that God’s heart is for their good and His glory. You have poured out your heart with such love and care for them, and we join you in seeking His divine intervention, for nothing is too difficult for our God. We praise you for invoking the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can boldly approach the throne of grace.

First, we want to encourage you with the truth of Philippians 4:6-7, which says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You have done well to bring this burden to the Lord, and we trust He will grant you His peace as you wait on Him.

We also want to gently address the nature of their relationship. While you have shared that you believe their relationship is God-honoring, we must remind you—and them—that the Bible calls believers to pursue relationships with the intent of marriage, not simply dating for the sake of companionship. If they are not yet married, they should be in a season of courtship with the clear goal of determining if marriage is God’s will for them. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* If they are both believers, they must seek the Lord’s will for their future together, ensuring their relationship is built on Christ and His Word. If they are not both firmly rooted in their faith, this is a matter that must be addressed with urgency, for a relationship not centered on Christ cannot truly honor Him.

Additionally, we must emphasize the importance of purity in their relationship. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage (Hebrews 13:4), and any compromise in this area invites spiritual and emotional harm. If they are struggling in this area, they must repent and flee from temptation, seeking accountability and the Lord’s strength to walk in holiness. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*

Now, let us pray together for them, for you, and for the Lord’s will to be done in all things.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family and the relationship between this young man and woman. Lord, You see the depths of their hearts, the struggles they carry, and the burdens they bear. We ask for Your divine intervention in their lives, that You would draw them closer to Yourself first and foremost. Father, if it is Your will for them to be together in marriage, then prepare their hearts, minds, and spirits for that covenant. Give them wisdom to seek You above all else and to build their relationship on the foundation of Your Word.

Lord, we pray for this young man, that You would soften his heart to communicate openly and honestly, not bottling up his struggles but casting them upon You (1 Peter 5:7). Help him to lead with love, patience, and understanding, treating your daughter as a sister in Christ with all purity (1 Timothy 5:2). Convict him by Your Spirit to take responsibility for his emotions and to seek godly counsel when needed. Provide for his needs, Lord, especially in his athletic pursuits and his education. Open doors for him that no man can shut, and give him the faith to trust You in every area of his life.

Father, we pray for your daughter, who is grieving not only the loss of her grandmother but also carrying the weight of her own expectations and emotions. Comfort her, Lord, as only You can. Bind up her broken heart and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Help her to extend grace to her boyfriend, to listen more than she speaks, and to encourage rather than nag. Teach her to trust in Your timing and Your plan, even when her emotions feel overwhelming. Let her find her security in You alone.

Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s attempts to sow discord, confusion, or doubt in their relationship. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You, Jesus, have come to give life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would turn every attack of the enemy into an opportunity for growth, unity, and deeper dependence on You.

Father, we also lift up this mother who is carrying so much. Strengthen her, Lord, and surround her with Your peace. Help her to release her fears and anxieties into Your hands, trusting that You love her daughter and this young man even more than she does. Give her wisdom to speak truth in love and to point them both to You in every conversation.

Finally, Lord, we pray that if there is any area of sin in their relationship—whether it be a lack of intent toward marriage, emotional dependency, or physical compromise—You would convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. May they honor You in their words, actions, and thoughts, seeking first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, knowing that You hear us and that You are faithful to answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift your daughter and her boyfriend before the Lord in prayer these past few days. It has been our honor to stand in the gap with you, especially during this tender time as you grieve the loss of your mother while carrying such deep concern for your daughter’s heart and their relationship. We know these burdens feel heavy, and we continue to pray that the Lord will be your strength and comfort as only He can be.

We have been earnestly asking the Father to soften their hearts toward one another, to give them wisdom in communication, and to bind them together in unity through His Spirit. We’ve prayed for your daughter’s brokenness to be met with the Lord’s healing presence, that she would feel His love in profound ways and extend grace as she navigates her grief. We’ve also lifted up her boyfriend, asking God to open his heart to share his struggles, to seek the Lord’s guidance for his future, and to love your daughter with the patience and kindness that reflects Christ. Most of all, we’ve asked that the Lord would protect their relationship from the enemy’s schemes and use this season to draw them closer to Him—and to one another—in ways they never imagined.

If you’ve seen the Lord move in their lives or in your own heart through this, we’d love to rejoice with you in a praise report. Even small answers are worth celebrating, as they remind us of God’s faithfulness. If this season is still difficult and the need remains, please don’t hesitate to share an update or repost your request so we can continue praying with you. We’re here to walk alongside you, trusting that the Lord is working even when we can’t yet see the outcome.

May the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind as you wait on Him. We’re believing with you that He will turn what was meant for harm into something beautiful for His glory. In Jesus Name.
