URGENT: deliverance from sexual sin

Lynetta Dove

Disciple of Prayer
I ask that as many people see this will come into agreement with me in prayer over my body and spirit. I’ve been struggling with sexual sin since I was ### and the thoughts are getting worse. It’s late at night and I haven’t slept. I watched porn and then masturbated and I masturbated again after using the bathroom. I’m a ### year old female and I feel like there are no more resources for me. I’ve prayed and fasted and confessed to some people about this but none of it has helped. I don’t know what to do anymore and I’m convinced that I’ll just have to deal with this for the rest of my life. I already am not attractive enough for a guy to pursue me and the more I do this, the more I feel like guys are able to tell. I feel like a monster. The sexual thoughts are getting worse and more perverted. I’m getting sick of this and the sad part is that I’ve given up mentally and now it feels like I don’t even feel bad for doing it anymore. If ANYONE comes across this please don’t read. I need you to plead for me. I need people praying and not just reading and typing. If I don’t overcome this I don’t know what else I’ll do. I feel sick to my stomach and so gross. Everything feels wrong.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in urgent prayer, for we know that the battle you face is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness. Your cry has been heard, and we stand in agreement with you, declaring freedom and deliverance in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. There is no sin too great, no struggle too deep, that His blood cannot cleanse and His power cannot break. You are not beyond hope—you are a child of God, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

First, we must address the despair in your words, for it is a lie from the enemy that you will never be free or that you must endure this struggle for the rest of your life. The Scripture declares, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). You are not alone in this fight, and God has already provided a way out. The fact that you are still crying out for help is evidence that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, convicting and drawing you toward repentance and victory.

We also rebuke the lies you have believed—that you are unattractive, unworthy of love, or that your sin is visible to others in a way that defines you. Your worth is not found in the opinions of men or in your physical appearance, but in Christ alone. *"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light"* (1 Peter 2:9, WEB). The enemy wants to isolate you in shame, but we declare that you are *not* a monster—you are a daughter of the King, and He is jealous for you.

The sexual sin you describe—pornography and masturbation—is a distortion of God’s beautiful design for intimacy within the covenant of marriage. These actions are not harmless; they are acts of fornication against your own body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The enemy uses these sins to bind you in guilt, addiction, and self-hatred, but Jesus came to *"destroy the works of the devil"* (1 John 3:8, WEB). Repentance is the first step: turn away from these sins and turn toward God with all your heart. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Confession is not just admitting wrongdoing—it is agreeing with God about your sin and choosing to walk in His truth.

You mentioned that you no longer feel remorse for these actions, and this is a dangerous place to be. A hardened heart is a sign of spiritual numbness, and we urge you to cry out to God to soften your heart again. *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit"* (Psalm 51:10-12, WEB). Ask the Lord to break the callousness and restore your sensitivity to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Without godly sorrow, there can be no true repentance, and without repentance, there can be no freedom.

We also address the perverted thoughts that plague your mind. These are not your thoughts—they are fiery darts from the enemy, designed to defile and destroy. *"Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:5, WEB). You have the authority, in Jesus’ name, to take every thought captive and reject what does not align with God’s Word. Fill your mind with Scripture, worship, and prayer. Starve the flesh by fleeing from triggers—whether it’s certain media, idle time, or environments that fuel temptation. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB).

You mentioned that prayer, fasting, and confession haven’t "helped," but we must ask: have you surrendered *fully* to God’s process? Freedom often requires more than a one-time prayer—it requires daily dying to self, renewing your mind, and walking in obedience. *"But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts"* (Romans 13:14, WEB). Have you cut off *all* access to pornography? Have you installed accountability software or sought a mature believer to walk with you in this battle? Have you replaced the time spent in sin with time in God’s Word and prayer? True deliverance comes when we stop making excuses and start making *war*.

We also sense a deep loneliness in your words—a longing for love and acceptance that you’ve tried to fill in ungodly ways. But no man, no relationship, and no sinful pleasure can satisfy the void in your soul that only Jesus can fill. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). Seek *Him* first, and trust that His timing and plan for your life—including marriage, if it is His will—are perfect. Do not rush into the arms of a man out of desperation. Wait on the Lord, and let Him prepare you to be the godly wife He has called you to be.

Now, we pray over you with the authority of Jesus Christ:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your daughter, who is bound in chains of sexual sin and despair. Lord, we ask that You break every stronghold of the enemy in her life—every lie, every addiction, every perverted thought, and every spirit of lust, shame, and self-hatred. We bind the enemy’s access to her mind, body, and spirit in the name of Jesus. Father, forgive her for every sin she has committed against her own body, which is Your temple. Wash her clean with the blood of Jesus and restore her to a place of repentance and brokenness before You.

Lord, we ask that You renew her mind with Your Word. Let her thoughts be captivated by Your truth, not by the filth of the enemy. Give her the strength to flee from temptation and to walk in purity. Surround her with godly women who will hold her accountable and encourage her in this battle. Father, heal the wounds in her heart that have led her to seek love and comfort in sinful ways. Fill her with Your love so completely that she no longer craves the counterfeit pleasures of this world.

We declare freedom over her life—freedom from pornography, freedom from masturbation, freedom from shame, and freedom from the enemy’s lies. Let her sleep in peace tonight, knowing that You are fighting for her. Restore her joy, Lord, and let her testimony be one of victory in Jesus’ name. Give her a fresh hunger for Your presence and a hatred for the sin that has enslaved her.

We pray for her future. If it is Your will, prepare a godly husband for her—a man who will love her as Christ loves the church, who will lead her spiritually, and who will cherish her in purity. But even now, let her find her satisfaction in You alone. Break the spirit of loneliness and replace it with Your perfect love.

We thank You, Lord, for the blood of Jesus that cleanses from all sin. We thank You that You do not leave us in our brokenness but transform us by Your power. Let this be the night that everything changes for her. Let this be the moment she rises from the ashes of shame into the newness of life You have prepared for her.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."*

Sister, this battle is not yours to fight alone. The body of Christ is standing with you, and the Lord Himself is your strength. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Do not give up. Do not believe the lie that this is your identity. You are *more than a conqueror* through Christ (Romans 8:37). Rise up, put on the armor of God, and fight. We are fighting with you.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to find a biblical counselor or a trusted, mature Christian woman to walk with you through this. You need support, accountability, and discipleship. Also, remove *every* opportunity for temptation—delete saved content, block websites, and fill your time with worship and Scripture. The road to freedom is narrow, but Jesus is worth it.

Finally, we must ask: have you fully surrendered your life to Jesus Christ? Is He your Lord and Savior? If you have never repented of your sins and placed your faith in Him alone for salvation, now is the time. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no freedom apart from Him. If you have backslidden, return to Him today. He is waiting with open arms.

You are loved. You are not forgotten. And you *will* overcome this in Jesus’ name.

Dear Sister,

We hear your cry and we're here for you. We're not just reading your words, we're feeling them with you. We're not here to judge or condemn, but to stand with you in this battle, just as we've been called to do in love.

First, we want you to know that you are not alone. You are not defined by your struggles or your past mistakes. You are a daughter of the King, deeply loved and cherished by Him. He sees you, He knows you, and He is fighting for you.

We understand the heavy burden you're carrying. The shame, the guilt, the despair - it's overwhelming. But we want you to know that there is hope. There is freedom in Jesus' name. He has not given up on you, and neither have we.

We're going to pray with you right now. We're going to ask the Lord to break every chain that's holding you back. We're going to ask Him to fill you with His love, His peace, and His strength. We're going to ask Him to give you the courage to keep fighting, to keep standing, and to keep trusting in Him.

But we also want to remind you of something important. You are not meant to do this alone. You need support, you need accountability, and you need love. We encourage you to find a trusted friend, a mentor, or a counselor who can walk with you through this. You need people who will pray with you, who will hold you accountable, and who will love you through the hard times.

And remember, sister, you are worthy of love. You are worthy of respect. You are worthy of a future filled with hope and joy. Don't let the lies of the enemy tell you otherwise. You are a daughter of the King, and He is jealous for you.

Keep fighting, sister. Keep standing. Keep trusting. And know that you are loved. You are not forgotten. And you will overcome this in Jesus' name.

In love and solidarity,

[Your Name]
