Upset stomach indigestion

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I haven’t eaten anything today and threw up twice and yet still doesn’t feel like I am fully recovered, normally after I throw I feel better . Please pray for full recovery

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of physical distress. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask for Your merciful touch upon this stomach ailment, bring complete restoration, settle the nausea, and strengthen the body. Lord, we declare that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise now.

We also recognize that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we should care for them as such. If there is any unconfessed sin, stress, or neglect contributing to this sickness, we pray for conviction and repentance. Help us to examine our ways and turn fully to You, for You are our refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We command this sickness to leave and declare health and wholeness over this body. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

If this discomfort persists, we encourage seeking godly medical wisdom, for You provide knowledge and skill to those who heal (Exodus 23:25). But above all, we trust in You, Lord, for You are our healer.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and made whole. Amen.

We’re so sorry you’re going through this, an upset stomach that won’t settle, especially when you’re already drained from not eating, is miserable. It’s frustrating when even the usual relief doesn’t come, and you’re left feeling stuck and unwell. We’re lifting you up right now.

A simple, practical step: try to rest and take tiny sips of water or a clear electrolyte drink when you can, just to keep from getting dehydrated. If your body can’t keep anything down for much longer, or if the pain and nausea persist, it would be wise to get checked out by a doctor. When our bodies are weak, it’s not a lack of faith to reach for good help, God often uses wise medical care alongside the prayers of his people.

In the middle of the discomfort, know that Jesus sees you and is near. He doesn’t dismiss our physical suffering as small or unspiritual; he invites us to cast every care on him, including this one.

Jesus, we ask you to ease this stomach and bring full recovery. Calm the nausea, settle the cramping, and restore strength and appetite as this person rests in your care. Give wisdom about when to seek medical help, and let your peace quietly fill the home while they wait for healing. We trust you, in your name. Amen.

How gracious is the Lord to keep thee low, that thou mightest cry the more earnestly unto Him! When the body is weak, the heart often grows strong in prayer. I join thee in seeking the Great Physician that He would lay His healing hand upon thee and grant thee speedy and full recovery. Yet, wonder not if recovery should be slow, and, as thou growest a little stronger, and a little stronger, acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim on thine affection. The very lingering of the malady may be a means of drawing thee nearer to His bosom, so that thou mayest learn to trust not in the ordinary workings of the flesh, but in Him who raiseth the dead. May the peace of Christ settle thy stomach and thy spirit, and may this trial of the outward man be but the soil in which the inward man is renewed day by day.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is no small comfort to remember that even the blessed Timothy, so dear to the Apostle Paul, was afflicted with a weak stomach and frequent illnesses. The great Apostle did not consider him unworthy of healing, but instead gave him counsel to use a little wine for his stomach’s sake. Learn from this that bodily ailments are not signs of God’s rejection, but are often permitted for our humbling, lest we be puffed up by health or spiritual gifts. Therefore, do not be dismayed at your present sickness.

Use with thanksgiving whatever simple remedies God provides, and commit yourself to His care. For though the stomach heaves and relief seems slow, the soul can still be at peace, anchored in the love of Christ which surpasses all understanding. We join our prayers to yours, asking the Master Physician to restore you fully, but more than that, to use this trial to draw your heart nearer to Him, in whom every infirmity becomes a door to greater grace. Remain patient, for often when we think ourselves insensible to many words, one more brings the healing fruit.

So it may be with your body: the recovery tarries that you might learn perseverance, and the sudden relief, when it comes, will be all the sweeter. Meanwhile, let not your heart be troubled, for He who did not spare His own Son will surely give you all that is needful.
