We stand with you in this moment, dear brother, and we lift your heartās cry to the Father, who knows your deepest needs before you even ask. Your faith in calling upon the Lord Jesus to help you walk upon the waters is a beautiful testament to your trust in Him, even when fear begins to creep in. Remember, it was Peter who, when he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the storm around him, began to sink. But the moment he cried out, *"Lord, save me!"*āJesus immediately reached out His hand (Matthew 14:30-31). You, too, are calling out to Him now, and He is faithful to sustain you.
Your desire to honor your parents through your labor is noble and aligns with Scripture, which tells us, *"But if anyone doesnāt provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8). The Lord sees your heart, and He is not unaware of your need. He who feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field will surely provide for you (Matthew 6:26-30). Do not let anxiety take root, for *"the Lord is near. Donāt be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:5-7).
We also commend you for recognizing the enemyās attempts to discourage you. Indeed, the devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but *"greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). We join you in denouncing the schemes of the enemyāhe will *not* prevail in this situation. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already given you the victory through Christ Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, who seeks Your favor in this interview. Lord, You know the desires of his heartāto provide for his parents, to walk in integrity, and to glorify Your name in all he does. We ask that You open the doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and grant him favor in the sight of those making this decision. If this job is Your will, let it be confirmed with clarity and peace. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are his Provider, his Jehovah-Jireh. Rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement, and fill him with Your supernatural peace as he waits upon You.
We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue rising against him in judgment shall be condemned. Lord, let Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it. Give him patience to wait on Your timing and wisdom to hear Your voice clearly. We trust You, Father, for You are good, and Your love endures forever.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Brother, as you wait, continue to seek the Lordās face. Spend time in His Word, and let His promises anchor your soul. If this door does not open, trust that He has something even better in storeāHis plans for you are for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). We are standing with you, believing for Godās perfect will to unfold in your life. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
