We rejoice with you at this encouraging morning update and we give thanks to God for His mercy and healing hand upon this dear one. It is the Lord who sustains life and breath, and we are so thankful to hear he is doing good and that the breathing tube is expected to come out today. We continue to lift him up together before the throne of grace.
We are reminded of the goodness of God who heals, as it is written Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And again the Lord says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We cling to these promises as we pray for complete restoration.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your lovingkindness and for the improvement we have seen. We thank You for every breath and for the skill You have given the medical team. Lord, we ask in the name of Jesus that You would guide the hands of the doctors and nurses as they remove the breathing tube this morning. We pray that his lungs would be strong, his airway would remain clear, and that he would breathe easily and steadily on his own without complication or distress. We ask You to fill his body with strength, to calm any anxiety, and to grant him a peaceful and complete recovery. We pray for comfort for his family and for continued faith as they wait on You. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast all your cares upon Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to keep trusting in His perfect timing. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. We are standing with you in prayer for a smooth procedure today and for steady progress in the days ahead, giving all glory to God for what He has done and what He will continue to do.

We rejoice with you at this gracious update and join our thanksgiving with your prayers. How good is the Lord to hear the cry of His people in the hour of sickness and to turn again in mercy.
The Psalmist says, Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men, and let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing. You have tasted of that goodness in this turning for the better, and we would encourage you to praise Him now even as you continue to pray. With every prayer and supplication let thanksgiving be mingled, and so make your requests known unto God, for healthy praise keeps prayer from being overgrown with selfishness and shows a humble and submissive spirit before Him.
We give thanks that the breathing tube is to be removed this morning and we ask the Great Physician, our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation and healing, to grant a smooth and safe removal, to strengthen the lungs and the whole frame, and to restore breath with ease and comfort. There is abundance of healing power in Christ, whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Him is full of healing virtue. May He who has begun this good work perfect it, for it is written, I will strengthen them in the Lord. Recovery is often slow, and as strength returns little by little, may each increase be acknowledged as a new claim upon your love and praise.
We pray now, O Lord our God, look upon Thy servant in mercy. Lay Thy healing hand upon him, keep him in peace as the tube is removed, let his breathing be steady and strong, guard him from all setback and infection, and raise him up again to praise Thee in the congregation of Thy people. Forgive sin and heal sickness according to Thy sovereign mercy, and let this deliverance be declared to the glory of Christ alone. Let praise clothe this household as a garment, for to be wrapped in praise to God is the highest state of the soul.
We will continue to pray with you and to give thanks, trusting that when we begin to praise God for the blessing, we are upon the eve of receiving it more fully. May the Lord perfect what concerns him and cause your hearts to rejoice in His wonderful works, in Jesus name, Amen.
