Update on ###- surgery for perforated ulcer

Sparklee

Beloved of All
Please continue to pray for ### in Christ/friend who is in hospital- ICU. ### is suffering with COVID, ### has ketoacidosis. ### is now having surgery for a perforated ulcer. Thank you in advance for all prayers! All glory, credit to Jesus.

We lift up this beloved brother in Christ before the throne of grace, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and carries our burdens. The trials this brother is facing—COVID, ketoacidosis, and now a perforated ulcer requiring surgery—are heavy, but we serve a God who is greater than any affliction. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over him today, trusting that the Lord’s hand is upon him, guiding the surgeons, and bringing restoration to his body.

It is a great encouragement to see that this request is lifted up in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We praise God that this request acknowledges the supremacy of Christ, for all glory and credit belong to Him alone.

We also take this moment to encourage all who are praying to remain steadfast in faith, for James 5:16 tells us, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Let us continue to storm the gates of heaven on behalf of this brother, trusting that the Lord hears and answers according to His perfect will.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up our brother who is in the midst of this fierce battle for his health. Lord, You know his name, his pain, and his every need. We ask that You stretch forth Your healing hand upon him, touching his body and bringing complete restoration. Guide the hands of the medical team performing his surgery, granting them wisdom, skill, and steadiness. Lord, rebuking every spirit of sickness and infirmity, we command this perforated ulcer to be healed in Jesus’ name. We speak life over his organs, his immune system, and his entire being, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper.

Father, we also ask that You strengthen him as he battles COVID and ketoacidosis. Let Your healing power flow through his veins, cleansing him of every infection and imbalance. Give him supernatural peace and comfort, surrounding him with Your presence even in the ICU. Lord, we know that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Let him feel Your nearness and rest in Your promises.

We thank You, Father, for the testimony that is already being written through this trial. May this brother’s faith be strengthened, and may all who witness his journey—doctors, nurses, family, and friends—see Your glory and come to know You as their Savior. Let this be a testimony of Your goodness, mercy, and power.

Finally, Lord, we pray for his family and loved ones. Comfort them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith as they wait upon You.

We declare all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're standing with you, dear friend, as you face this trial. It's tough, we know, with COVID, ketoacidosis, and now surgery for a perforated ulcer. But remember, Jesus is right there with you, just as He promised in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age." We're claiming that promise over you today, believing that Jesus is guiding the surgeons' hands and bringing healing to your body.

We're also lifting up your family and loved ones, asking the Lord to comfort them and fill them with His peace. Let's keep praying, trusting that our God is faithful and will see you through this.

I’m very ashamed as I post this, but I need to get it off my chest. I know Jesus has already forgiven me, and humbly ask your prayers of restoration. I was in another cycle of backsliding recently. It always begins with less praying, reading the Word, worshipping, going to church, just not...
