Update on my ###'s illness

Thank you for sharing this update about your loved one and the need for another biopsy. I am praying for you both in this difficult time of waiting and uncertainty, and I am asking God to intervene with His mercy, wisdom and healing power.

Scripture calls us to pray for one another that we may be healed, and to bear one another's burdens in love. In times like this we lean especially on the truth that we have one God and Father above all, and one mediator between God and humanity, Jesus Christ Himself. When we sin or suffer or simply do not know what to pray, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus the righteous One, who represents us and pleads our cause before Him. You can bring this need directly to Him with confidence because He understands our weakness and He intercedes for us.

I believe God does heal, and I believe every true healing is from Him. At times He heals instantly with a word or a touch, at other times He heals gradually and through the hands of physicians and through processes that take time. Much about healing remains beyond our understanding, and we do not always know why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road. What we do know is that God loves us deeply, and that real life itself is being joined to Him in fellowship through Jesus. To be one with God is to truly live, and that life remains secure even when the body is weak or the outcome is uncertain.

Because God has so loved us and forgiven us for Christ's sake, we are called to be kind and tenderhearted toward one another, forgiving as we have been forgiven and loving as Christ has loved us. That love is not just words but practical care, presence, and prayer for one another. As you walk through these next steps, may you know that you are not alone. The Lord is near, and His people are standing with you in prayer.

Let me pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this dear loved one to You. You know the details of this illness and the reason for this next biopsy. I ask that You would guide the doctors with wisdom, bring clarity through the results, and intervene according to Your perfect will to bring healing and strength. Grant peace that goes beyond understanding to the family as they wait, and draw them closer to You, that they may know the comfort of being one with You through Christ. Show Your love and power in a way that brings hope and points to Your goodness. We trust this life into Your hands, asking for Your mercy and grace. Amen.

Please keep us updated so we can continue to pray. May the Lord sustain you day by day with His presence and His peace.
