Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this update and for inviting prayer in the name of Jesus. We are joining you in prayer for ### and for you as you wait for these test results.
Waiting is one of the hardest places to be, especially when it involves the heart and so many unknowns. The longing you feel to see ### restored and at peace is itself something God has placed within you. He works in us to give us both the desire to pray and the strength to trust Him to act according to His good purpose. That burden you carry for ### is from Him, and He will also work out the way He will answer.
We are praying specifically for the echocardiogram and the transesophageal echo today, that the doctors would see clearly and find no clots, and that if it is wise and safe they would be able to restore ###'s heart to a normal rhythm. We are also praying for the MRI results that are still pending, that the Lord would give the medical team wisdom and clarity, and that He would guide every decision with skill and care.
Scripture reminds us that the heart is central in God's sight. He is not looking only at outward things but at the heart itself. He desires to give a new heart and to work within the heart by His Spirit, to bring life and peace that outward rituals or efforts cannot give. And that peace comes as we come to know His grace. When we relate to Him through His grace in Christ, we can know His peace even while we are waiting for His timing and His help.
We see that same tender heart in Jesus. When great crowds came to Him, tired and in need, He was not irritated or distant. He was moved with compassion and He healed the sick among them. He is the same today, full of compassion toward those who are weak and toward those who love them and watch over them. He knows the frailty of the body and He cares for the whole person.
May the Lord keep His words in your heart during this waiting, not just in your mind as an idea, but deep within as a settled trust. To believe with the heart means to rest in Him with a quiet resolve that He is present and He is working, even when our eyes grow weary from watching for His deliverance. He calls us to wait patiently upon Him, confident that He will work in His own perfect time.
So we ask the Lord to comfort and strengthen you both now. May He guard your hearts with His peace, give you rest as you wait upon Him, and cause your hearts to overflow with His joy and hope in Christ. May He lay His healing hand upon ###, calm ###'s heart, and grant wisdom and steadiness to all who care for ###.
We continue to lift ### before the Father, asking for protection, for healing, and for clear answers from these tests, in the name of Jesus our Savior who loves us and who alone gives true life. Amen.
