Update On Layla

Today started out well but things deteriorated...but thank You Jesus they ended on a good note. Just when we thought we were on the road up, they came and told us that they thought she may have meningitis now, so they were taking her for a spinal tap. My daughter fell apart. They sedated Layla yet again to do this test, but she came through well and then two hours later we got the good news that no meningitis and fluid is clear. They explained it to me as the bacteria that is in her blood stream is a bacteria that causes meningitis so they had to make sure it had not seeded as they called it, into her spinal cord. I have been there since this morning and just got in, wanted to update. I am drained, overwhelmed and emotionally drained, so going to spend some time with Paige as I promised her playing some games. Thank You again for the prayer, I think we may be out the way out of all this, thank You Jesus. The infectuous disease doc will be in tomorrow and decide where we are going from here. Other good news is, she is using her leg well today, sticking them up in the air and grabbing her feet, trying to work the bandaging off that holds a tube there, picking at it the lil stinker. When my daughter called this evening to update, you could hear Layla so loudly in the background babbling, cooing, laughing, she was going ninty to nothing. That was so good to hear her little baby talk. It has been a good day. They have more tests to run tomorrow, and the infectious disease doc talked like if those tests were good, he may release her home with a private nurse. She will have the pit line in for awhile, on the antibiotics, but my son in law is a doctor so I guess they are thinking she can finish up that therapy at home with a nurse. So things are looking real bright. Thank you so much for the prayers everyone, love to all of you and I pray God bless you abundantly.
