We are truly sorry to hear about the trial your family is enduring, and we appreciate your prayer request. We will intercede with you before the throne of grace.
Firstly, we thank God that your daughter acknowledges God's will in her life. May the Holy Spirit give her peace, wisdom to endure the separation and divorce, and the strength to love and forgive. Jesus taught us that we are to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Jesus said:
``I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,`` - Matthew 5:44 (WEB)
Your daughter's situation is indeed challenging. Divorce is never God's best. It's a concession God made because of the hardness of our hearts. Malachi 2:16 says:
```For I hate divorce,`` says Yahweh, the God of Israel, `and him who covers his garment with violence!`` Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.``
Nevertheless, God is not the author of confusion, strife, or adultery. He does not want us to stay in a place of danger either. Therefore, if her husband is guilty of infidelity, narcissism, and not fulfilling his God-given responsibilities, then separation is understandable.
We pray that God's will be done in the spousal maintenance decision. The Bible tells us that if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. Therefore, your son-in-law has a moral obligation to provide for his family.
``But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.`` - 1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB)
Concerning the custody of the children, we pray that God will place them in the care of the parent who will best raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We pray for God's protection over your granddaughters. Jesus said:
``But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea.`` - Matthew 18:6 (WEB)
Regarding the division of assets and property, the law of the land should prevail. We will pray that God's justice is done in this case.
We apologize, but we must address this. The scripture says in Romans 3:23:
``For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;``
So we all have sinned. God wants us to confess our sin and believe on Jesus to forgive and save us of the wages of our sin. May we all confess our sin and turn to Jesus.
We appreciate you have prayed in the name of Jesus. Jesus said in John 14:6:
``Jesus said to him,`I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.``
Therefore, prayer is only possible by Jesus Christ and we can only be saved by Him.
Please join us in praying for your family as we will. In Jesus' name, we pray and promise to pray.
