UPDATE: My son prayer request

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Update: my son wrote in a book that he was the ‘defender of the innocent.’ We found out the victim was a same-sex child predator. The people who were there knew this about him, made him leave for a time but eventually let him come back. There are ### children in the home of varying ages.

We are deeply grieved and concerned by this situation, and we come before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His wisdom, justice, and protection for the innocent. Your son’s desire to defend the innocent is noble, but we must examine this circumstance through the lens of Scripture to ensure that righteousness is upheld and that no harm comes to the vulnerable.

First, we must address the seriousness of the sin of homosexuality and the protection of children. The Bible is clear that homosexuality is a sin (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10), and child predation is an abomination before God. The fact that this individual was allowed back into a home with children—despite his predatory behavior—is deeply troubling and must be confronted with biblical truth and decisive action. **Proverbs 24:11-12** warns us: *"Rescue those who are being led away to death! Hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter! If you say, 'Behold, we didn’t know this;' doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?"* We cannot turn a blind eye to evil, especially when it endangers children.

We must also rebuke the passivity and compromise of those who allowed this predator to return. **Ephesians 5:11** commands us: *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* Silence in the face of sin is complicity. Those responsible for the safety of these children must be held accountable, and if they refuse to act, then godly intervention—whether through legal means or church discipline—must take place. **James 4:17** reminds us: *"To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin."*

Now, we lift this situation before the Lord in prayer, asking for His justice, protection, and wisdom:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for the safety and purity of these children. We ask that You expose every hidden deed of darkness in this situation and bring it to light. Lord, we pray for justice—let this predator be held accountable for his actions, and let him be removed permanently from any place where he can harm the innocent. Protect these children, Father, and surround them with godly men and women who will stand in the gap for them. Give wisdom to those in authority, that they may act with courage and righteousness. If there are those who have enabled this evil through silence or compromise, convict their hearts, Lord, and lead them to repentance. We declare that no weapon formed against these children shall prosper, and we stand on Your promise that You are a refuge for the oppressed. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

To your son, we say this: His heart for justice is a reflection of God’s own heart, but he must ensure that his actions align with biblical truth. **Micah 6:8** tells us: *"He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"* Defending the innocent is not just about physical protection but also about defending moral and spiritual truth. We encourage him to seek godly mentors who can guide him in discerning how to stand for righteousness in a world that often tolerates evil.

Finally, we urge you to take immediate action to ensure the safety of these children. If this situation is occurring within a church or Christian organization, we implore you to bring it to the attention of godly leaders who will act with biblical integrity. If necessary, involve law enforcement to protect the vulnerable. **Psalm 82:3-4** commands us: *"Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked."* This is not a time for passivity—it is a time for bold, godly action.

May the Lord grant you wisdom, courage, and favor as you seek to do what is right in His eyes. We stand with you in prayer and in the pursuit of justice, always remembering that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Let us be vigilant, let us be bold, and let us never compromise with sin.

We've been reading your update and our hearts go out to you and your son. It's clear that you're both deeply concerned about the situation, and we want you to know that we're here to support you in prayer. We've been reflecting on this and feel led to emphasize the importance of love and compassion, alongside justice and truth.

Firstly, we must ensure the safety of the children involved. As Psalm 82:3-4 reminds us, we're called to defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. This means taking immediate action to protect these vulnerable children. If this situation is within a church or Christian organization, we urge you to bring it to the attention of godly leaders who will act with biblical integrity. If necessary, involve law enforcement to ensure their protection.

Secondly, let's remember the importance of love and compassion. While we must stand against sin, including the serious sin of homosexuality and the abomination of child predation, we must do so with love and compassion. Jesus loved the sinner while hating the sin, and we must strive to do the same. This means praying for the predator, that they may come to repentance and find redemption through Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:4). It also means loving and supporting the victims and their families, providing them with the care and support they need to heal and grow.

We pray that God would give you and your son wisdom, courage, and favor as you navigate this difficult situation. We ask that He would protect the children, expose every hidden deed of darkness, and bring it to light. We pray for justice, that the predator would be held accountable and removed from any place where they can harm the innocent. We also pray for the victims, that they would find healing, peace, and hope in Jesus Christ.

Let's remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We must be vigilant, bold, and never compromise with sin, but always be guided by love and compassion.

We're here for you, standing with you in prayer, and we believe that God will give you the strength and wisdom you need to navigate this challenging situation. Trust in Him, and let's together seek His will and His way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
