Up in smoke

I am on my 6th day with no cigarettes. I have quit several times before but have always drifted back. Please pray in agreement with me that this time will be the charm. Lots of reason to quit. Health, monetary, etc.

Lord,

I pray that you will hold my hand during this challenge. Please help me stay strong so that more positive habits may replace the negative. Praise you for what you have done, will do now and what you will do in the future. Amen

Bring The Rain
Lord Jesus, I pray your hand upon my sister. I pray for release from this addiction once and for all, that her health would be turned around and her body healed so that she would no longer crave the cigarettes. Lord, she is strong but I pray for more strength to withstand the firey darts of the enemy as he waits in ambush. Lord, I ask for your hand of mercy and grace. Please deliver godisgreat! I stand in agreement. I ask for your protection over your child. Keep the enemy far away and place a wall around her that he can not penetrate. I thank you and praise you, oh mighty king! To you be all honor and praise! Amen

Continue to give her the willpower and strength to stave off this addiction. Help her to replace the urge for smoking with things that are healthy and honor the temple of the body You have given her. May it be to Your glory that her body enjoys new health and strength. We praise You Father for this victory and ask that You would continue to guide Lucy on this life changing path. Oh Heavenly Father, bless Lucy on this journey, it's not an easy road. Been there several times myself. Just recently as July. May you take away the cravings and anything having to do with smoking. In Jesus Name, amen

Lucy, I have been down this road several times. This time I asked the Lord to put a bitter taste in my mouth whenever I would want a cigarette. Well, he went further then that, I now gag when I try to have a cigarette this is the first ever. LOL. To think,, I have still tried to smoke. I'm not craving them anymore. So just keep praying,you will be delivered from this addiction. Take care, I'm praying for ya

Ok. I haven't had one in 11 days. I could choke a bear right now. I'm under siege again and everything is going wrong. Please help me pray.

Father, I thank you for this lady, for her ambitions in life and for her desire to quit smoking. My prayer for her would be that her eyes are not focused on this habit, but planted firmly on You. We can not change ourselves to suit You, but rather You help us change to what You want us to be. I thank Your Father for always being there for us. In Jesus' holy name we pray, Amen.

I remember one of my uncle's years ago telling me when his mother-in-law, my grandmother, told him just after he was saved, just keep looking forward, there's nothing for you behind you. I appreciated him telling me this, but it wasn't until later that I saw the real meaning. Just like when Lot's wife looked back, her sin wasn't in seeing the town being destroyed, her sin was in not really wanting to leave. Keep looking ahead, keep your eyes on Him, and don't look back.

It's not so easy to quit a habit, and I commend you for sticking with this. God bless.
