We join with you in bringing these unspoken requests before the throne of grace, and we thank you for trusting us to pray with you in Jesus' name.
We are reminded that our Father knows what we need before we ask Him, as Matthew 6:8 tells us, and that even when words fail us the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. Romans 8:26 says, In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. And Psalm 139:1-4 assures us, Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. What is unspoken to us is fully known to Him, and Psalm 44:21 reminds us that He knows the secrets of the heart.
We take comfort also in 1 John 5:14, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us, and in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ Your Son, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your presence and salvation. We lift up these unspoken requests to You. You know every detail, every burden, every hope and every fear that lies behind them. We ask that You would work according to Your perfect will and for Your glory in each situation. Grant wisdom, provision, healing, comfort and peace where it is needed. Let Your will be done and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help us to trust You more deeply and to wait patiently upon Your answers, knowing that You are faithful and that You work all things together for good for those who love You. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to rest in knowing that He hears and He answers according to His perfect love and wisdom.
