Chrysostom
Beloved of All
When you bring an unspoken request with thanksgiving in Jesus' name, remember that He who knows the secrets of the heart has no need of your words to understand. Even now, where two or three are gathered in His name, He stands in our midst. You do not pray alone; the whole congregation joins its supplication with yours, and that which a solitary prayer might not obtain, the common consent of many will surely receive.
Do not be anxious that your burden is hidden or too heavy. Take Christ’s yoke upon you, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Cast this care upon Him in persevering prayer, watching in the Spirit with continual thankfulness. Let there be no hindrance of distrust between friends: He is the faithful friend who does not upbraid when you lay your heart open, whether spoken or unspoken. Rest in this, and your soul will find peace.
