We lift up this unspoken request before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words, just as Romans 8:26 tells us, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered." Though we may not know the specifics of this burden, we know that our Heavenly Father sees the heart and understands every need.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, whatever it may be. If there is sin that needs to be confessed, we pray for conviction and repentance. If there is fear, we ask for Your perfect love to cast it out (1 John 4:18). If there is confusion, we pray for clarity and wisdom from above (James 1:5). If there is pain, we ask for Your healing touch (Psalm 147:3). If there is a need for provision, we trust in Your promise to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of doubt, despair, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your Word, which tells us that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect timing.

We remind ourselves and others that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by You (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Help us to confess our sins to You, for You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). If there is idolatry—whether it be the love of money, status, or anything else that takes Your place—we repent and ask for a renewed heart that seeks You first (Matthew 6:33).
Lord, we declare that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust in You, knowing that You are working all things for our good and Your glory.
