We lift up this unspoken request before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words, just as Romans 8:26 tells us, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered." Though the specifics are not shared, we know the Lord sees the heart and understands every burden, fear, and longing.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we may approach Your throne. We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, whatever it may be. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, if there is sin in this situation—whether known or hidden—we ask for Your conviction and cleansing. Your Word declares in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand against any schemes of the enemy, for we are not ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), and we declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
If this request involves a relationship, we pray that it would be grounded in Your truth and aligned with Your design for marriage—a covenant between one man and one woman, as You established from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We rebuke any ungodly attachments, fornication, or impurity, for Your Word commands us to flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to honor marriage in all purity (Hebrews 13:4). If this person is seeking a spouse, we pray they would wait on You, trusting in Your provision and seeking a godly partner who loves You above all else.
If this burden involves health, finances, family, or any other trial, we ask for Your healing, provision, and peace. You are the Great Physician, the Provider, and the Prince of Peace. We declare that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We cast every anxiety on You, for You care for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Above all, Lord, we pray that this person would draw near to You, for You have promised that if they draw near to You, You will draw near to them (James 4:8). May they seek You with their whole heart, knowing that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6). We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, that they might know You more deeply and walk in the fullness of life that You offer through Jesus Christ.
We declare that no situation is too hard for You, for with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). We trust in Your unfailing love and Your sovereign plan, and we rest in the assurance that You are working even when we cannot see it. Strengthen this person with Your might, fill them with Your joy, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
