We lift up this unspoken request before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words, just as Romans 8:26 tells us, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered." Though the details are hidden from us, they are fully known to our Heavenly Father, who sees the heart and understands every need.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We acknowledge that there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, whatever it may be. You know the burdens, the fears, the unspoken longings, and the silent struggles. We ask that You would bring comfort, healing, and breakthrough according to Your perfect will.
If this request involves sin—whether it be hidden struggles, unforgiveness, bitterness, or anything that does not align with Your Word—we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Lord, reveal any areas of disobedience and lead this person into repentance and restoration.
If this is a matter of the heart—perhaps loneliness, longing for a godly spouse, or the pain of a broken relationship—we pray that You would align this person’s desires with Your will. Remind them that You are a God who sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6) and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). If they are seeking a spouse, we pray that You would bring a godly man or woman into their life—someone who loves You above all else and will walk in covenant with them as You designed marriage to be: a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6).
If this unspoken request involves temptation—whether it be sexual immorality, same-sex attraction, or any other struggle—we stand firm on Your Word. We declare that no temptation has overtaken this person except what is common to mankind, and You are faithful to provide a way out so that they may endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). Lord, strengthen them to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to walk in purity, honoring You with their body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We rebuke any spirit of confusion or deception and declare that Your truth will set them free (John 8:32).
If this is a matter of fear, anxiety, or uncertainty, we pray that You would replace those lies with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let them rest in the assurance that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Above all, Lord, we pray that this person would draw nearer to You. If they do not yet know You as their personal Lord and Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them hear the call of Jesus, who said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). May they surrender their life to You, confessing with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We trust You, Father, to move mightily in this situation. We declare that Your will be done, and we stand on the promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Thank You for hearing our prayer. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
