Unspoken prayer

Thank you for trusting us with this unspoken request for your family. Even though the details remain between you and the Lord, He knows them fully and cares for every need you carry.

We have lifted your family before the Father in the name of Jesus, agreeing together that what we ask on earth according to His will He hears and answers. Scripture reminds us that the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much, not because of many words or great length, for the prayers recorded in the Bible are often brief, but because of faith and sincerity before God. When two or three agree concerning anything according to His purposes, He has promised to be present and to act.

Prayer is first of all communion with God. It begins with relationship. Through Jesus Christ we are brought into the family of God so we can truly call Him Father. Apart from that relationship our prayers have no foundation, and the one prayer He desires from those outside that family is for mercy as a sinner. Once we are His children, prayer becomes a dialogue, not a monologue, where we worship Him for who He is, bring our personal petitions before Him, intercede for others, and give thanks. We also learn to listen and wait for Him to speak to our hearts.

The purpose of prayer is not to bend God to our wishes but to open the door for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. True prayer often begins in His heart, as He places His desires within us and we return them to Him in faith. That is why we first seek His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting Him to add what we need for daily life. He is both willing and able to provide for physical and spiritual needs, and He delights in caring for families. He has taught us that we have a responsibility to care for our own households, and He honors that love and faithfulness.

You can have confidence that God sees what is unspoken and that He works through the prayers of His people for His glory. There is great joy in spending time with the Father and then watching Him answer according to His perfect wisdom and love.

We continue to pray that God will be glorified in your family, that His will be accomplished in each situation you are facing, that He will supply what you need, grant wisdom, bring peace, and draw each member closer to Himself. May you experience His nearness, His provision, and the full joy that comes from trusting Him and walking with Him in prayer.
