Thank you for trusting us with this unspoken request for your family. Even though the details have not been shared, God knows them fully and He invites you to bring them to Him as your Father through Jesus Christ.
We are joining with you in prayer and agreeing together for these needs. Scripture promises that the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective, and that when two or three agree on earth concerning anything they ask, it will be done by the Father. You do not need many words or a long prayer for God to hear. The prayers recorded in the Bible are often very short. What matters is not length or repetition, but faith and sincerity from the heart.
Prayer begins with relationship. Through faith in Jesus you can come to God as Father, and that relationship opens the way to true prayer. If that relationship is not yet settled, the one prayer God desires to hear first is, God be merciful to me, a sinner, trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. Once you are His child, prayer becomes personal communion with Him.
The purpose of prayer is not to get our own wishes fulfilled, but to see His will done. Jesus gave a model for prayer that shows this pattern. It begins with worship and awe for who God is, then seeks His kingdom and His will on earth as it is in heaven, and then brings our personal needs and the needs of others to Him. In that order prayer includes worship, petition for our own needs, and intercession for others. True prayer often begins with God Himself, as He puts His desires on our hearts and we simply agree with Him and give Him permission to do what He already longs to do. It is not informing God of something He does not know, but consenting to His will and opening the door for Him to work.
He knows the unspoken burden you carry for your family, and He cares for each need, whether it is physical, spiritual, or practical. We are asking Him to meet you there, to provide wisdom, strength, comfort and provision according to His perfect will, and to let His peace and assurance minister to your heart as you seek Him. There is deep joy in spending time with the Father in prayer and in watching Him answer according to His goodness.
Be encouraged to keep seeking Him. He hears, He loves your family more than you do, and He is faithful to answer in the way that brings Him glory and brings true good to you. We continue to hold you and your family before the Lord in Jesus name.
