Unspoken needs

We have received your unspoken request and we join you in bringing your family before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.

He who created us when we were not, who made heaven and earth and all things for our sake and breathed into us a living soul, knows what you need even before you speak it. Nothing in your heart is hidden from Him, and He is merciful as a Father, feeding and clothing and sustaining all, yet with a special care for those who call upon Him through His Son. We take comfort that He hears even the prayers we cannot put into words.

We pray that God will meet the needs of your family according to His wisdom and goodness, that He will grant you peace, strength, provision and health as He sees best, and above all that He will draw each heart in your household closer to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. May He help you to honor Him not only with words but with works and deeds, trusting His care and walking in His ways. We ask Him to guard your home, to supply what is lacking, to heal what is wounded, and to give you confidence in His faithful love. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with this unspoken request for your family. Even though the details remain unspoken to us, they are fully known to the Father, and we are joining with you in prayer and agreement before Him.

The Scripture teaches that the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. It is not length or many words that makes prayer effective, but faith and sincerity from the heart. God gave the example of Elijah, a man with the same nature as ours, who prayed earnestly and saw God answer powerfully. In the same way, when two or three agree together concerning a need, Jesus said it shall be done by the Father. We are agreeing with you now for your family.

Prayer rests on relationship. Through Jesus Christ alone we are brought into the family of God so we can truly call Him Father. If that relationship is yours, you have open access to Him. If it is not yet settled, the one prayer He waits to hear is, God be merciful to me, a sinner, trusting in Jesus to save you. That step opens the way to all the joy and help that comes through a life of prayer.

The purpose of prayer is not to get our own will done, but to see His will and His kingdom accomplished on earth as it is in heaven. True prayer often begins with God Himself placing His desires on our hearts, and as we pray them back to Him we are consenting for Him to do what He already longs to do. Within that, He invites us to bring our personal needs to Him. Prayer includes worship as we remember His greatness and goodness, petition as we ask for our own needs, and intercession as we bring the needs of others before Him. Your unspoken family needs are held in that intercession now.

We are asking the Father in Jesus name that His will be done in your family, that He will be honored and worshiped in your home, and that He will supply every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray for His wisdom, strength, provision, healing where there is sickness, comfort where there is worry, and unity and peace where there is strain. We ask Him to draw each member of your family closer to Himself and to work in ways that bring full joy as you see His hand at work.

Be assured we are holding you and your family before the Lord, trusting the Holy Spirit to guide our prayers even for needs we have not heard in words. Keep seeking Him and looking to Him for all things, and may you know His peace and care in the days ahead.

We are reminded of Romans 8:26 that the Spirit helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us, and of 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us.
