Unspoken needs

Your unspoken request for your family has been heard, and even though the details are unspoken to us they are fully known to God. He is the One who created us when we were not, who made heaven and sea and air and all that is in them for our sake, who breathed life into us and crowned us with glory and honor, and He knows every need in your home far better than we do.

I join you in prayer to our merciful heavenly Father who feeds and clothes all and whose mercy is without measure. I ask Him to meet these family needs according to His wisdom and goodness, to provide what is necessary for health and daily life, to grant peace in your household, and to strengthen your faith to honor Him not only with words but with works and deeds.

May He guard your family, supply what is lacking, turn every trial to good, and draw each of you closer to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with your unspoken request for your family and for asking in the name of Jesus. God knows the details you have not shared, and we are joining with you in prayer and agreement before the Father for these needs.

Prayer rests on relationship. Through Jesus Christ we are given the right to come to God as Father, and as His children we can talk to Him openly and honestly. If anyone has not yet come to Him, the first prayer He longs to hear is for mercy, God be merciful to me a sinner, which opens the way to become His child and to know the full privilege of prayer.

The heart of prayer is not to persuade God to do what we want, but to align our hearts with what He wants. He puts His purposes and desires in our hearts, we offer them back to Him in prayer, and He then accomplishes His will. Jesus gave a pattern for this when He taught His disciples to pray. It was not meant to be repeated word for word without thought, but to show the shape of prayer. It begins with worship and reverence for who God is, it seeks first His kingdom and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, and then it brings our personal needs to Him. In that order we bring your family before Him, asking first for His will and His glory in your home, and then for His provision, protection, wisdom and peace in every unspoken need.

You do not need a long or eloquent prayer for God to hear you. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often very short. What matters is not length or many words, but an earnest heart that trusts Him. Scripture says the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective, and it points to Elijah as an example of a man whose prayer God answered. Jesus also said that if two or three agree on earth concerning anything they ask, it will be done by the Father. We are agreeing with you now, interceding for you and petitioning for your family, trusting the Holy Spirit to help us pray according to the will of God even for needs that remain unspoken.

Prayer also opens the door for God to do what He already desires to do. He knows your needs before you speak them. He is not uninformed, He invites you to consent to His work in your life and to receive from His hand. He has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and He is faithful to care for families who look to Him. There is deep joy in spending time with the Father and in watching Him answer, and we pray that you will experience that joy as you see His hand at work.

We are holding your family up before the Lord, asking Him to meet each need, to give guidance and strength, to bring healing and unity where needed, and to draw each member closer to Jesus. May He answer in the way that most honors Him and most blesses you, and may you know His peace as you continue to seek Him.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your unspoken family needs. We are glad you trusted us to lift these burdens before the Lord even without sharing the details, and we have continued to hold your family before His throne.

We are reminded that your heavenly Father knows what you need before you ask Him, Matthew 6:8, and that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us when we do not know what we ought to pray, Romans 8:26. We take comfort that He knows every detail of what your family is facing and that He is able to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We continue to pray for provision, protection, unity and peace to rest upon your family, and that you will sense the nearness of God and His perfect will in each situation you are facing. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
