Beloved of All
Please pray that God would do whatever it takes for the unrepentant uninvited wedding guests in my life to be bound hand and foot and tossed outside in Jesus’ name.

We hear your deep distress and concern over those in your life who are practicing witchcraft without repentance. The Word of God is clear about the dangers of such practices, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s intervention. Scripture warns us in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." These practices are not merely harmless or neutral, they are an affront to God and open doors to spiritual darkness.

We also recognize the urgency in your prayer, echoing the parable of the wedding feast in Matthew 22:13, where the king commands, "Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be." This passage speaks to the seriousness of rejecting God’s invitation and persisting in rebellion. However, we must approach this situation with both boldness and compassion, remembering that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). While we rebuke the works of darkness, we also pray for the hearts of those involved to be softened so they might turn from their ways and be saved.

It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have authority to bind and loose, to rebuke and to restore. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If these individuals do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they are lost and in need of the Gospel. We must pray not only for their removal from your life but also for their salvation, that they might come to repentance and be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We lift up those in [this person’s] life who are practicing witchcraft and remain unrepentant. Lord, Your Word declares that such practices are an abomination to You, and we ask that You would intervene in power. We bind every spirit of witchcraft, divination, and sorcery operating in their lives, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. We ask that You would break every chain, sever every ungodly soul tie, and expose every hidden work of darkness.

Father, we pray that You would do whatever it takes to turn their hearts toward You. If it requires discipline, bring it. If it requires conviction, send Your Holy Spirit to convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). If it requires deliverance, we ask that You would set them free from every evil influence. We declare that no weapon formed against them, or against [this person], shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we cancel every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we also pray for [this person], that You would surround them with Your protection and peace. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and give them the wisdom to set godly boundaries with those who persist in rebellion. Help them to walk in love but also in truth, not compromising with darkness but standing firm in the light of Your Word.

We trust in Your justice, Lord, but we also trust in Your mercy. We ask that You would save these individuals, that they might turn from their wicked ways and be reconciled to You. May they come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ, and may their lives be transformed for Your glory.

We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s Word and trusting in His timing. Do not grow weary in praying for these individuals, but also remember to guard your own heart. Proverbs 4:23 warns us, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and pray with you, and immerse yourself in Scripture to stay rooted in God’s truth. The enemy may try to bring fear or discouragement, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We hear how distressing this is, when someone's presence or influence in your life feels toxic and invasive, the sense of violation runs deep. It's completely understandable that you'd bring this to God with such intensity. You're not wrong to want relief and to entrust the situation to His justice.

What might help right now, alongside your prayers, is giving attention to the boundaries you can set in the natural realm. Sometimes, when we've been deeply affected by others, our emotional and spiritual energy gets so tangled up in what they're doing that we lose sight of what we ourselves can do. Healthy boundaries are a way of guarding your own heart and home. This could mean prayerfully considering what limits you need to place on contact, conversation, or even mental space you give to these relationships. Stepping back from the turmoil is not a failure of faith; it's wisdom. It creates room for you to breathe, to regain clarity, and to let God do what only He can do in their lives without your peace being held hostage in the meantime.

We are praying for you in this:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this person who feels surrounded and distressed by harmful influences. Grant them the clear wisdom to set firm and healthy boundaries, and the courage to step back where needed. Quiet their heart with Your peace that isn't dependent on anyone else's actions. We trust You to handle what we cannot, and we ask You to bring order, protection, and deep rest to this home. In Your strong name, Amen.

The king came in to see the guests, and found one without a wedding garment, and he was bound hand and foot and taken away. Yet there have been many such at the wedding feast, but one only is mentioned to show us that if there were but one, God would find him out; and, being many, the sinners in Zion may be the more sure that they will not escape.

But mark this: the only wedding dress required is freely provided for you. Just as you are, you are bidden to believe in Jesus. You who do not say you are Christians, who confess you are not, yield yourselves to the Saviour, for He has said, "Him that comes to Me, I will in no wise cast out." It is an unheard of thing that Christ has ever let a sinner perish.

Be careful that your own zeal does not become a boasting, for boasting is out of place in our assemblies. He does not serve God out of love, but because he trembles at the thought of Hell, such a spirit is not the wedding garment. The ark sailed on, not one was cast out from her, yet we take in the righteous out of all sections, but we do not take in all sections; there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

As for those you name, perceive that sin is a scarlet stain, not to be so readily washed out as some fondly dream. Their self-righteous refuge will prove a bowing wall and a tottering fence. Yet beware lest in praying this prayer you mistake despair for contrition in your own heart. There are many who are quite able to tell you that you ought not to have fallen into the ditch, but I think that their homilies had better be saved up till we have helped you to get out of the ditch.

And how solemnly should that question come home: "What if my name should be left out, when You for them shall call?" Suppose I should have no portion in the skies? Look to the fountains of repentant tears, and remember that Christ can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The petition you bring uses the image of the wedding guest who is bound and cast out. Consider then the reason for that casting out, for the feast was prepared and grace was offered freely. The command that has power from the Lord was given for building up and not for casting down. When you pray, let your first work be to fast and to pray with your own soul aflame, for nothing is mightier than the man who prays sincerely. The one who fasts is light and winged, and quenches wicked lusts and propitiates God. If your body is too weak to fast continually, still you can flee from luxury and drunkenness, for these are the fountain of every evil, the things that cast men out from paradise and brought ruin to Sodom. See to it that you do not yourself fall into a spirit of slumber, that incurable and unchangeable habit of soul fixed on evil. Do all, not from outrage, but from what is pleasing to the Lord, that you may have reward. Take up the armor of fasting and prayer for yourself, and by that light-bringing life you will do more to scatter darkness than by seeking to bind others.

I hear the deep distress behind your request. Dealing with those who practice darkness openly and without remorse stirs something fierce in the soul, and the cry for God to act with decisive judgment rises naturally from a heart that loves righteousness.

The Scriptures do speak plainly about the fate of those who refuse the King's invitation. Jesus Himself told of the man without a wedding garment being bound and cast out, and He warned more about judgment to come than anyone else in the Bible. That sobering reality stands. Yet the very passages you lean on from Job press us to ask whether any human hand possesses the authority to command exactly how or when that happens. God challenged Job: can you bind the chains of the Pleiades, can you abase every proud person with a word, can you deck yourself in majesty and directly cast abroad your wrath? The answer was no. Job could not. Neither can we, by sheer declaration, orchestrate the casting down of every proud evildoer.

That does not leave us powerless. Jesus gave His people real authority over the powers of darkness. Whatever we bind on earth receives heaven's verification. You can, in prayer, bind the blinding work of the enemy over a person's mind. You can ask the Father to loose the convicting light of His Spirit into their hearts. That is not a passive exercise, it is wrestling against spiritual forces that hold captives in chains they do not even recognize. But there is a careful line. When David looked at the prosperity of the wicked and the suffering of the righteous, he cried, "Why do you cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?" It felt to him as if God had turned His back and let the ungodly win. Yet David did not stay there. He turned and spoke to his own soul: "Why are you cast down, O my soul? Hope in God. For I shall yet praise him who is the health of my countenance and my God."

I wonder if part of the burden you carry is the discouragement of watching darkness seem to prevail. That discouragement can warp into a demand that God act on our timeline and in our prescribed manner. But remember, even to a rebellious king on the gallows, with the trapdoor ready to spring, God still held out the offer of deliverance. He sets before us life and death. The servant is not greater than the master. When the owner of the vineyard sent his servants, some were beaten and some were killed. He did not immediately rain fire. He sent his son.

So take these souls, these uninvited guests, to the Lord. Cast the burden of them upon Him, because He will sustain you. Bind the spiritual blindness. Loose the truth of the gospel toward them. But leave the timetable of outward judgment to the only Judge who can destroy both body and soul. There is a coming day when the choice cedars will be cut down and cast into the fire, when the proud are brought low. Until then, ask not for their swift destruction, but send out His light and His truth, for yourself first, and then as a witness to them. He has not cast away His own people, and His arm is not too short to save. Put your trust not in your own bow or spear, not even in the precision of your spiritual warfare language, but in the God who knows exactly when to bind and when to loose, when to cast down and when to lift up.
