Unpaid police penalty by the former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray for the former landlord in Jesus' name so that he feels remorse and resolves the issue with the police, both here and abroad, where the penalty is overdue/unpaid.

We join you in bringing this matter before the Lord in Jesus' name and we thank you for seeking prayer for your former landlord rather than holding bitterness toward him.

We are reminded that God calls us to respect and submit to the governing authorities He has established and to fulfill our obligations honestly. The Scripture teaches us, Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Romans 13:1, and also, Give therefore to everyone what you owe, taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, respect to whom respect, honor to whom honor. Romans 13:7. When a penalty or debt remains unpaid, especially to the police or civil authorities both here and abroad, it is not only a legal matter but a matter of conscience before God.

We also hear your desire that he would feel remorse, which is a godly sorrow that leads to repentance. For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. 2 Corinthians 7:10. Our prayer is not for mere regret or fear of consequences, but for a true change of heart that leads him to make things right. If the wicked turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. Ezekiel 18:21. And we cling to the promise that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

We pray together for him and for you in this situation.

Father in heaven, we lift up this former landlord to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see this unpaid police penalty and the overdue debt that remains unresolved here and abroad. We ask that You work in his heart and conscience, that he would feel godly remorse for neglecting what is due and for dishonoring the authorities You have ordained. Lead him to repentance and to action, that he would humble himself, confess what is needed, and resolve this issue fully with the police in both places. Give him integrity to make restitution and to do what is lawful and right, as Zacchaeus declared, If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much. Luke 19:8. We ask that You remove any hardness or avoidance and replace it with honesty and responsibility.

We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would guard their heart from anxiety or resentment and grant them peace as they trust in Your justice. Help them to continue to pray with love even for those who have caused difficulty, and to rest knowing that You are just and merciful. We ask that no further harm or complication would come from this unpaid penalty and that the authorities involved would be fair and that this matter would be settled quickly and completely. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to commit this to the Lord and to trust that He is at work even when you cannot see the outcome. Continue to pray for this man’s salvation and obedience, and keep your own heart free from burden by casting your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.

We appreciate you bringing this burden to prayer. Waiting for someone else to make things right, especially when police and fines are involved both here and abroad, can leave you feeling stuck and even weary.

We join you in asking God to work in your former landlord's heart, that he would feel genuine remorse and take responsibility to resolve what is overdue. When someone has done wrong, making restitution is often the clearest sign that remorse is real, and it can also lift the weight of guilt they carry and begin to heal what has been broken. We pray that for him.

While we pray for him, we also pray for you, that you would be freed from carrying resentment or anxiety over what you cannot control. One thing that has helped others in a situation like this is to set a simple rhythm of prayer for the person, entrusting justice to God and to the proper authorities, and then stepping back rather than checking constantly or trying to press him yourself. If any of this penalty touches you legally or financially, it can also help to get clear, calm advice about what is yours to handle and what is his alone.

Father, we lift this former landlord to You in Jesus name. Soften his conscience, move him to confess what is needed and to make things right with the police where payment is due. Give our friend peace as they wait, and wisdom to walk in integrity. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request concerning the former landlord and the unpaid penalty before the police, both here and abroad, has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray that God, who alone can work true repentance in the heart, would grant to this man not a carnal repentance produced only by fear of judgment or dread of punishment, but that holy, healthy and heavenly repentance which is wrought by the Holy Spirit. A mere trembling before the magistrate will not suffice, for judgment may produce a repentance after a fashion that is of the flesh and soon passes away. We ask instead for repentance unto life, that which gives God glory, confesses sin as exceedingly sinful and justly deserving of condemnation, and looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only.

If it please the Lord, may that repentance be practical and lasting, yielding works meet for repentance. May it lead this man to acknowledge his responsibility with honesty, to make restitution where it is due, and to resolve what is overdue with the authorities as a matter of conscience before God, not merely to escape penalty. True repentance pulls down what is wrong and builds up what is right, and it lives as long as faith lives.

And we pray also for his soul, for there is forgiveness with God, and that forgiveness is to be obtained only through Jesus Christ His Son. If God demands the penalty in justice, He Himself has supplied it in love at the cross, where the Just suffered for the unjust that He might bring us to God. There is forgiveness, complete and eternal, for all who come with a penitent heart and seek it through the blood of Christ, though their sins be great. Oh that this man may know that there is forgiveness with God, that he may seek it while it may be found, and so be led to hate the sin that made such a sacrifice necessary.

We ask the Lord to move upon him to act justly and promptly, to settle what remains unpaid, and to walk in a path that is honest before God and man. May the Lord also give you peace as you leave this burden with Him who judges righteously, and may you continue to act with uprightness and patience, trusting Him who forgives and who makes the heart to fear Him.

We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and forgiveness, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We have heard your request and we join you in prayer before God in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

We pray for your former landlord, that God in His goodness and patience would lead him to true repentance. We ask that the Lord would grant him godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation and does not bring regret, rather than a fleeting regret or despair. For to sin does not destroy a person so much as to despair of forgiveness, while one who is vigilant and repents speedily finds amendment through the remedies God has provided.

We pray that he would not harden his heart nor treasure up wrath for himself against the day of righteous judgment, but that he would hear the call of God who shows long suffering and calls all to return. May God soften him, give him a contrite heart and humility, and move him to do what is just and right before the authorities, to resolve what is overdue and unpaid with the police both here and abroad, and to make full restitution where it is due. For God has given authorities for our good, and we are to give to each what is owed.

We also pray for you, that you would be kept from anxiety and would continue in prayer, mercy, and thanksgiving, trusting the Lord who is a hospital and a refuge for wounded souls and who has marked out innumerable ways of salvation for those who turn to Him. May He grant you peace as you entrust this matter to Him, and may He work in the heart of this man to act honestly and promptly.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who was reproached for us and who still intercedes for us, that both you and he may find grace and walk in the way that leads to life. Amen.
