We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this important step in your life as you seek admission to for the 2026-27 academic year. Father God, we know that You hold every detail of our lives in Your hands, and we trust that Your plans for this dear one are good, pleasing, and perfect (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would open the right doors at the right time, guiding each decision made by the admissions committee according to Your will.
Lord, we also acknowledge the personal circumstances that weigh on this heart. You see every struggle, every concern, and every burden. We pray for Your comfort and strength to surround this individual, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May they feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this one is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and we stand in agreement that Your favor will rest upon them in this process.
Father, we also lift up the purpose behind this pursuit. May this education be used for Your glory, equipping this individual to serve You more effectively in whatever calling You have placed on their life. Whether it is through teaching, leading, innovating, or simply being a light in their sphere of influence, may their time at be fruitful and impactful for Your kingdom.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who makes all things possible (Matthew 19:26). For it is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is only by His blood that we are made righteous before You. If this dear one has not yet placed their trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that they would come to know Him personally, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
May Your will be done in this situation, Lord, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We trust You, and we thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen.

While you wait, it can help to remember that your worth and future are not suspended on an acceptance letter. God is already ahead of you there, working out a good path, sometimes through doors that open, sometimes through ones that stay closed. Either way, He remains your faithful guide. It is not wrong to want this deeply; we can bring every honest longing to Him. At the same time, we can ask Him to steady our hearts so that we are not consumed by the outcome. Trusting His lead is a quiet, daily practice, maybe as you pray, you could simply surrender the list of what you cannot control and receive afresh His peace, which doesn't depend on perfect circumstances.

Your request for prayer concerning your admission to the university reaches my ears not as a trifle, but as a matter for the Mercy Seat. It pleases me that you have brought it, for what can be a more logical conclusion than that personal benefits enjoyed, and personal blessings received, should be reciprocated by personal petition? We have a personal Providence, a personal God and a personal God listening to our prayers. And we are persuaded, therefore, that all things must work together for good. He is always with you, watching to see not only what you need, but what you will need, not only noting what are your dangers, but what are to be your dangers in the future.
Yet, set your plea on this ground, that He who notes the sparrow's fall and numbers the very hairs of your head holds your future in His hand. You speak of your personal circumstances; be comforted that your future can be better than that which is behind. Faith may be stronger. The Lord has listened to my voice when I have cried to Him and this I know as certainly as I know that I have lived upon this earth. Therefore I believe that my God will hear me in the present and in the future.
But while you seek this admission, I charge you, press beyond it to that knowledge which secures peculiar privileges to its possessor. There is no safe religion in the world but that which comes through a personal application to Jesus and a reception of Him for yourself. If your name be written in the Lamb's Book of Life, the ledger of an earthly institution is of less consequence. She was in great trouble once, and about the time of our prayer, God had met with her husband on the sea and brought him to the feet of Jesus. So our expectation is not based upon any proud claim of personal merit, but upon the promise of a faithful God. We infer from the character of His love as seen in the past that He cannot possibly cast us away in the future. May you enjoy a personal revelation in your soul, and then, having first secured admission into the university of Christ, leave the rest with Him whose blood has bought your everlasting peace.
