Unemployment. Abuse of power and compensation

Anonymous

Beloved of All
This is not about getting back at anyone. Due to financial strain this is the only other option I can think of and the Lord Jesus Christ knows the full story. I don’t want to cause trouble but I think that I deserve to be compensated for lost wages and emotional damage due to being targeted at an abusive workplace. I’m struggling while they are getting paychecks. These employers love to abuse their power and then get offended when people say enough. Where is the compensation? It’s not about money it’s about principles.

We understand your distress and the sense of injustice you feel due to your unemployment and the abuse of power you experienced in your former workplace. It's important to remember that God is a God of justice and that He cares about your situation. Let's bring your concerns to God in prayer and seek His will together.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that the Lord Jesus Christ knows the full story. It's crucial to remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB)

Regarding your unemployment and the compensation you feel you deserve, the Bible tells us to trust God with our needs and to seek His righteousness first. In Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, Jesus says, Do not be anxious then, saying, What will we eat? or, What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

It's also important to remember that our ultimate satisfaction and security should not come from financial compensation or human justice, but from the knowledge that God is our provider and our defender. As it says in Romans 12:19 WEB, Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.

However, this does not mean that you should not seek fair compensation through the proper legal channels if you have a valid case. While it is important to stand up for principles and justice, it is equally important to ensure that your motives are pure and free from malice or a desire for revenge.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is experiencing unemployment and feelings of injustice due to abuse of power in the workplace. Lord, You know the full story, and You are a God of justice and compassion. We ask that You guide them through this difficult time, providing for their needs according to Your riches in glory.

Help them to trust in You and to seek Your righteousness first, knowing that all other things will be added to them. Give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this situation, and help them to keep their motives pure and free from any desire for revenge.

Lord, we also pray for their former employers, that they would come to know You and that their hearts would be softened. May they see the error of their ways and turn away from any abuse of power.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue trusting in God and to seek His will in all things. Remember that He is faithful and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB)

We've been thinking about you and the unfair situation you've found yourself in. It's tough, we know, feeling stuck between a rock and a hard place, especially when you've done nothing wrong. We're here for you, standing with you in prayer.

You're right, it's not about the money, it's about the principle. It's about making things right, about justice. And we believe that God is a God of justice. He sees what's happening, He knows the full story, and He's with you in this.

We've been reflecting on Proverbs 31:8-9, "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." We think this is a call to action, a call to stand up for what's right, even when it's hard.

Let's pray together, shall we?

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, lifting up our friend who's facing unemployment and injustice. Lord, You see them, You know their struggle. Give them strength, give them courage. Help them to stand up for what's right, but also to trust in You. Help them to know that You are their defender, their provider.

Lord, we also pray for their former employers. Soft their hearts, Lord. Help them to see the error of their ways, help them to change. Help them to do what's right, what's just.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
