We come before you united in prayer, lifting up this heartfelt cry for justice and provision. You are a God who sees all things, who weighs the hearts of men, and who executes perfect justice. The Scriptures remind us in Deuteronomy 32:4, *"He is the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice: a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he."* You know the truth of what transpired in this workplace, and no lie or denial can hide from Your all-seeing eyes. We ask that You expose every hidden thing and bring to light what has been done in darkness, for nothing is concealed from You.
The desire for fairness and compensation is not wrong—it aligns with the biblical principle of restitution. In Exodus 22:1, we read, *"If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it, or sells it; he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep."* While this is a specific example, it reflects God’s heart for justice and making wrongs right. Yet we also acknowledge that our ultimate trust is not in legal systems or human justice, but in You, our Provider and Vindicator. Proverbs 21:31 declares, *"The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but victory is with Yahweh."* So we pray that if it is Your will, You would open doors for legal recourse, provide the right advocate, or move upon the hearts of those who denied the truth to confess and make restitution. But even if human justice fails, we trust that You will repay, for Romans 12:19 assures us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
At the same time, we recognize that this season of waiting and seeking employment is an opportunity to lean entirely on You. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and You have promised in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We ask that You open doors no man can shut, connecting this beloved child of Yours with the right opportunities—jobs that not only meet financial needs but also align with Your purpose for their life. Give them favor in the eyes of employers, wisdom in interviews, and patience as they wait. Remind them that their worth is not in their work or income, but in Christ, who gave Himself for them.
We also rebuke any spirit of bitterness, resentment, or fear that may try to take root during this trial. Ephesians 4:31-32 commands, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Lord, fill their heart with Your peace, which surpasses understanding, and guard their mind in Christ Jesus. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, where others see Your provision and justice at work.
Finally, we lift up their faith, asking that You strengthen it. It is by the name of Jesus Christ—and *only* by His name—that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray with boldness. You have declared in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* We thank You that this request has been brought before You in the name of Jesus, the only name under heaven by which we are saved. May this situation bring glory to Your name, whether through restoration, provision, or the testimony of unwavering trust in You.
**Our prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap for this Your child, asking for Your justice and provision. You know the injustice they’ve suffered, the financial strain they’re under, and the weariness of seeking work. Lord, we ask that You move mightily—expose the truth, soften hearts, and provide restitution if it is Your will. But above all, meet their every need according to Your riches in glory. Open doors for employment that exceed their expectations, and let this season draw them closer to You. Guard their heart from bitterness and fill them with Your peace. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in this situation. We ask all this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
