Beloved of All
📖 Father, We thank You that Jesus not only referred to Scripture as authoritative, but so powerful so as "The Scriptures cannot be broken," John 10:34-35. Furthermore, "Jesus said to them, 'These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms. Then HE opened their MINDS to UNDERSTAND the Scriptures,” Luke 24:44-45 (Understand: συνιέναι [synienai]; From sun and hiemi; to put together -- Literally to assemble the individual pieces of a puzzle so as to see the entire picture, not just random pieces -- Jesus, do this for us when we ask YOU "open our minds that we might 'understand' The Scriptures." "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away," Matt 24:35, Luke 21:33, and Psalm 12:6, "The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold," and Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.""For 'The word of the Lord stands forever.' And this is the word that was proclaimed to you," 1 Peter 1:25. Peter continues to testify in his 2nd Epistle, "We also have the Word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation. 21 For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit," 2 Peter 1:19-21. "Consider also that our Lord's patience brings salvation, AS OUR BELOVED BROTHER PAUL HAS WRITTEN, ACCORDING TO THE WISDOM GIVEN HIM FROM GOD. He writes the same way in ALL HIS LETTERS, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people distort, AS THEY DO THE REST OF THE SCRIPTURES, to their own destruction," 2 Peter 3:15-16.

🧎🏽‍♂️God Grant That We Your Church May Fully Believe and Understand Your Scriptures, Luke 24:44-45: Infallibility and Benefits of Scripture: Gives Wisdom that Leads to Eternal Life, 2 Tim 3:15-16, Inspired by God, 2 Tim 3:16, Encourages Trust, Authority of "God Who Cannot Lie," Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18, "Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged," Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? 1 Samuel 15:29, "Moreover, the Glory of Israel does not lie or change His mind, for He is not a man, that He should change His mind.” The Scriptures Encourage Unity, as Jesus in The High Priestly Prayer Prays We Would All Be One, John 17:1-26, Unity in Christ, "Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment," 1 Cor 1:10, Perseverance, Filling Us with ALL JOY and PEACE in BELIEVING, that We Abound in Hope, Rom 15:4-13...

🙇🏻 Father, Thank You for the command that You gave Your people to not bear false witness, to which the inspired authors faithfully adhered, even promising punishment to those who do so, Prov 19:5. We thank You for not only inspiring ALL The Scriptures, 2 Tim 3:16, but for guarding and preserving them through the ages by committing them to painstaking writing keeping them from the corruption of man and deceitfulness of the serpent for infallible accuracy -- As new archeological findings CONTINUE to reinforce that SURELY God Almighty is able to keep Your Word pure, as it is written, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law," Luke 16:17, and, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." Matt 24:35

📖"For EVERYTHING WRITTEN in earlier times WAS WRITTEN FOR OUR INSTRUCTION, so that through PERSEVERANCE and the ENCOURAGEMENT of THE SCRIPTURES, we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant us to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord we may with one voice glorify Him as God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ," Rom 15:4-6. "And may the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in BELIEVING, so that we all will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," Rom 15:13, Thank You for THE SCRIPTURES, inspired by The Holy Spirit, 2 Peter 1:19-21, help us "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of Truth, 2 Tim 2:15, help us understand, Luke 24:45, believe, John 5:47, Luke 16:29-31, Heb 3:12 and be doers of the Word not merely hearers, James 1:22-23. LET FAITH COME FROM HEARING THE WORD, Rom 10:17. Thank You for understanding, faith, trust, unity, obedience and peace that passes all comprehension, Phil 4;6-7, in Jesus' Name🤺

We join you in this beautiful and faithful prayer for understanding, wisdom and revelation from the Scriptures and we say amen to your desire that God would open our minds as He did for the disciples.

We love how you have centered this request on the authority and power of the Word of God. We agree that the Scriptures cannot be broken as Jesus said in John 10:35, and that heaven and earth will pass away, but His words will never pass away as we read in Matt 24:35 and Luke 21:33. We thank God with you that He has not left us to wander in darkness but has given us a lamp shining in a dark place until the day dawns as written in 2 Peter 1:19, and that every prophecy of Scripture was not brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit in 2 Peter 1:21.

We are encouraged by your understanding of Luke 24:45 where it says Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures. That word for understand indeed means to put together, to comprehend fully, to see the whole picture as you shared, and we pray for that very work of Christ in all of us today. We need Him to assemble the pieces so we do not see only fragments but see Christ Himself fulfilled in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms as in Luke 24:44.

We pray together now for what you have asked.

Father, we thank You in the name of Jesus Christ for Your perfect and preserved Word. We thank You that Your words are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold in Psalm 12:6, and that the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever in Isaiah 40:8 and 1 Peter 1:25. We thank You that You are a God who cannot lie according to Titus 1:2 and Heb 6:18, that You are not a man that You should lie as You declare in Num 23:19 and 1 Sam 15:29, and therefore we can fully trust every promise You have spoken.

Father, we ask You to give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You according to Eph 1:17. Open the eyes of our hearts that we may know the hope of Your calling. Cause faith to come by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ as You promise in Rom 10:17. Make Your sacred writings, which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus in 2 Tim 3:15, to be living and active in our lives. We thank You that every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness in 2 Tim 3:16, so that we may be complete and equipped for every good work.

Help us to be diligent to present ourselves approved to God as workers who do not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth in 2 Tim 2:15. Give us grace not to be merely hearers of the word, deceiving ourselves, but doers as You call us in James 1:22. Help us to believe Your Word fully, for as Jesus warned, if we do not believe the writings of Moses, how will we believe His words in John 5:47. Guard us from an evil heart of unbelief in Heb 3:12.

We thank You that everything written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope in Rom 15:4. We ask You now, O God who gives perseverance and encouragement, to grant us to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord we may with one voice glorify You as God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ in Rom 15:5-6. We pray as Jesus prayed in His high priestly prayer in John 17:21 that we may all be one, and we heed the call to agree and that there be no divisions among us, but that we be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment in 1 Cor 1:10. Fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit in Rom 15:13.

Father, we thank You for preserving Your Word through the ages, that not a single stroke of a pen will drop out of the Law as Jesus said in Luke 16:17. We thank You that You have kept it pure from the deceitfulness of the enemy, and that even the hard to understand parts, which the untaught and unstable distort as they do the rest of the Scriptures to their own destruction in 2 Peter 3:16, can be understood when You open our minds. Grant us humility to receive it, faith to believe it, and obedience to live it.

We ask all of this in the precious and only name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved, the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is the Word made flesh. Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer and to see how deeply you treasure God's Word and want to know Him more fully through it. That hunger itself is a gift, and we join you in thanking Him for it.

We have found that understanding often grows gradually as we keep coming back with a patient and open heart. Taking a smaller portion at a time, pausing to ask the Lord for clarity before you read, and then talking through questions with a pastor or a small group you trust can make what you read more steady and lasting. It also helps to stay connected in community where you can encourage one another to keep believing and obeying what you do understand, even while you are still seeking light on harder parts.

We are glad you reached out and we will keep holding this desire before the Lord with you.

Father, we thank You for Your Word and for the desire You have placed in our friend to know You better. We ask You to give wisdom and gentle understanding as they seek You, to strengthen faith and to fill them with Your peace and perseverance. Lead them day by day and draw them closer to Yourself. In Jesus' name, amen.

How graciously you have prayed, and how fitting it is that we should join our hearts with yours in asking the Lord to open our minds that we might understand the Scriptures, even as He opened the understanding of His disciples.

We thank God with you that the Scriptures cannot be broken. Our Lord Himself set His seal upon them, and we cannot be wrong in imitating His reverence for that Word which shall never pass away though heaven and earth shall pass. The words of the Lord are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, and the word of our God stands forever. What a mercy that He has not left us to the corruption of man nor to the deceitfulness of the serpent, but has preserved His Word pure, carried along by the Holy Spirit, that men spoke from God as they were moved by Him.

We join you in praying after the manner of Ephesians 1:17, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. And we ask that as it is written in Luke 24:45, He would put together the pieces for us, that we might see the whole picture and behold Christ Himself, for the faith of Scripture has Christ for its center, Christ for its circumference and Christ for its substance. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith, the sum and substance of it, and when we hold fast His name we have not denied the faith.

We pray that the Scripture, which is inspired by God and profitable for instruction, may indeed create faith in us, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and may give us that wisdom which leads to eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus. May we be diligent to present ourselves approved unto God, workers who need not be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of truth, not merely hearers but doers of the Word.

We ask also for that unity and perseverance and encouragement of which Paul speaks, that through the Scriptures we might have hope, and that the God of hope would fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. May we hold fast His name and not deny His faith, counting His truths worth living for and dying for, taking up the shield of faith by which we may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Little faith, if it be true faith resting upon Jesus, is precious faith, for it is the gift of God, and we pray that the Lord who gave faith at the first will give more faith, that we may become strong in faith and glorify God, not bounding or limiting the Holy One of Israel, but trusting Him as He is, a God who cannot lie, who does not change His mind, whose promise is sure by two unchangeable things.

May the Lord keep you close to that which the mouth of the Lord has spoken, and may He cause His Word to dwell richly in you, to instruct you, to keep you, and to make Christ real and precious to your soul, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your heart. We commend you to Him with thanksgiving, praying all this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
