We hear the deep distress in your heart, and we want you to know that we are standing with you in prayer, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The fear and doubt you’re experiencing are not from God, for Scripture tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to steal your peace, but we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. God is not angry with you, He loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). His heart toward you is one of compassion, not condemnation.
It’s understandable that these thoughts have made it difficult to open your Bible, but we encourage you to press in even when it feels hard. The Word of God is your sword against the enemy’s attacks, and it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). When you feel afraid, declare the truth of God’s promises over your life. Remember that "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). You are not under wrath; you are under grace.
We also want to gently remind you that these feelings of fear and doubt may be an opportunity to draw closer to the Lord. Instead of running from Him, run to Him. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." He is not distant or cold, He is waiting for you with open arms. Even now, He is speaking peace to your heart.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling with fear and doubt. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of lies that the enemy has wrapped around their mind. Replace those lies with Your truth, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them of Your unfailing love and mercy, which are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Give them the strength to open Your Word and the courage to stand on Your promises. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust that You will restore their joy and peace. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to take small steps of faith, even if it’s just reading one verse or praying a simple prayer. God honors even the smallest act of trust. You are not alone in this battle, and we are standing with you, believing that God will bring you through this season stronger and more rooted in His love. Keep your eyes on Him, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
