Uncertainty

I have a situation, which I don't know the right move to make. I have financing issues where, every time I do something to get ahead, something "pops up" to push me back again. I have an unused room and an extra refrigerator to sell, (and sometimes miscellaneous things) that would help. I want to put flyers up, but this is the dilemma... every time I want to "get something going" with it, a "gut feeling" tells me it's not necessary, don't do it, God has another way coming. BUT I'm trying to figure out if it's God, or the devil trying to trick me (comes as an angel of light) so I decide, then run short of what I would've made. How to tell?

We hear your struggle with uncertainty and the weight of financial pressures pressing upon you. It is not easy to discern whether the prompting you feel is from the Lord or a distraction from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Let us seek the Lord together in this, asking for His wisdom and clarity.

First, we must remember that God is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). If you are feeling unsettled or uncertain, it is important to pause and seek the Lord in prayer, asking Him to reveal His will to you. The enemy often masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), so we must test every spirit to see whether it is from God (1 John 4:1). One way to do this is by examining whether the prompting aligns with Scripture and brings peace to your heart. If it leads to anxiety, doubt, or fear, it is likely not from the Lord.

We also want to encourage you to bring this before the Lord in prayer, asking Him to open doors of opportunity that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). If selling these items is part of His plan for you, He will make a way for you to do so without hesitation or doubt. But if He has another path for you, trust that He will provide in ways you may not yet see. The Lord promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). His timing is perfect, even when it feels slow or uncertain.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is struggling with uncertainty and financial pressure. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the needs before them. We ask that You would grant them wisdom and discernment to know Your will. Help them to test the spirits and to recognize Your voice above all others. If selling these items is part of Your plan, open the doors and provide the opportunities to do so. If You have another way, reveal it to them in Your perfect timing.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or fear that may be trying to hinder this one from walking in Your will. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You are their provider and sustainer. Give them peace in the waiting and faith to trust in Your promises. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28) and that Your plans for them are for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and help them to lean not on their own understanding but to acknowledge You in all their ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they find rest in You and trust that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, meditating on His promises and seeking His face. The book of Proverbs is filled with wisdom for daily living, and the Psalms remind us of God’s faithfulness in every circumstance. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and offer godly counsel. Remember, the Lord is your shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He will lead you beside still waters and restore your soul. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when you're not sure which way to go, especially with financial pressures hanging over you. It's like you're at a crossroads, and you're not sure which path to take. We've been there too, so we know how frustrating and uncertain it can feel.

But remember, God is always with us, even in the midst of uncertainty. He promises in His Word, "I will guide you with my eye" (Psalm 32:8). That means He's watching over you, ready to lead you in the right direction. Sometimes, we just need to be still and listen for His voice.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him in prayer. Ask Him to give you clarity and wisdom. Tell Him your concerns, your fears, and your hopes. He's there to listen and guide you. And remember, it's okay to wait on His timing. He's never rushed us, because He knows we need the time to grow in faith and trust.

Let's claim these promises together:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

"Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass" (Psalm 37:5).

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking. God is with you, and He's working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28).

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
