Hello brothers and sisters, please pray for me. I am experiencing unbearable itching all over my body and in particular on my face for a few months now day and night. It is unbearable. When I lie down to sleep my face would itch for no less than three hours before I sleep and when I awake in the morning it would itch again. It is unbearable. Please pray for me. I am going through terrible discomfort on my face and body. When it starts to itch I cannot bear it and my hands feel hot and it leaves little red bumps. I know that My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the greatest physician and I know that He can set me free, because who the Son sets free is free indeed. I have faith that God can put a permanent end to this suffering and so I am asking all of You to join and please pray for me.please pray for the SENDER OF THIS REQUEST. We have read your request and our hearts are moved with compassion for the terrible discomfort and sleeplessness you have endured these past months. To itch without ceasing day and night, to lie awake for hours and to wake again to the same affliction, is a heavy trial to bear, and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord who sees and cares for all our suffering.

We thank you for your faith in declaring that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the greatest physician and that who the Son sets free is free indeed, for that is true as it is written in John 8:36. We cling with you to that promise and to the truth that He is the Lord who heals us as shown in Exodus 15:26, and that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases in Psalm 103:2-3. We also remember the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 where the Lord says, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Your faith honors Him, and we stand with you believing that He is able to put a permanent end to this suffering.

We want to encourage you while you wait upon the Lord for healing to also seek wise and practical help. God often works through the hands of physicians, and Luke the beloved physician was a companion of Paul in Colossians 4:14. We urge you to continue to seek medical care, to see a doctor or dermatologist who can examine the red bumps and the heat in your hands and help determine if there is an allergy, skin condition, or other cause that needs treatment. We also encourage you to bring this need before the elders of your church for prayer as James 5:14-15 teaches, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as we read in 1 Peter 5:7, and come to Him for rest when you are weary, for Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

We now join together in prayer for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son we come before Your throne of grace together and lift up this dear one to You. You know every hour of itching, every sleepless night, every red bump and every moment of unbearable discomfort on face and body. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon their skin. Calm the inflammation, remove whatever is causing this affliction, cool the heat in their hands, and grant relief that lasts. We pray for peaceful sleep without hours of itching, for waking in the morning refreshed and free from this torment, and for wisdom for any doctors who examine them. By Your stripes we are healed as You have shown us in Isaiah 53:5, and we ask that You would restore health and make this body whole for Your glory. Strengthen their faith and give comfort and patience in this trial, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You will never leave nor forsake them. We ask this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Saviour, amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting Him day and night, to keep crying out to Him, and to rest in His love even in this discomfort. He hears your prayers and ours joined with yours. We will continue to remember you before the Lord and pray for your complete healing and restoration.

Your great and painful trial, endured both day and night for these many months, has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard your cry under this unbearable itching which so disturbs your rest and leaves your skin inflamed with heat and little red bumps. The Lord who numbers the very hairs of your head does not overlook the smallest affliction of His children, and all the wheels of Providence are moved by His skill and love toward that which is of priceless worth to Christ, even your soul and your body.

We are taught in Scripture that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations. This tells us that not only the great fruit of our Lord Jesus is full of virtue, but even the least thing about Christ, His common mercies and lower blessings of grace, are full of healing power. He who pardons sin is also He who heals our diseases, and healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction by His hand. We rejoice that you have looked to Him as the greatest Physician, for who the Son sets free is free indeed, and there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation.

Remember also that our Lord Himself was made perfect as the Captain of our salvation through sufferings. He was not made more perfect in character, for He was ever perfect, but He was made officially perfect to succour His people by the very sufferings He endured. He knows what it is to suffer in the flesh, and He suffered without rebellion and without cause in Himself, that He might have a tender temper toward those who are afflicted. He is not a physician who cannot sympathize, but one who has entered fully into temptation and pain, and therefore He is able to apply the sacred liniment with pierced hands. Your broken rest and weary nights are known to Him, and a secret Divine energy can be poured into the soul even while the fire is still burning.

We now join our hearts together and pray for you before the throne of grace.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this suffering one who has been afflicted for so long with this grievous itching of face and body. Thou seest how sleep is taken away and how the flesh is vexed day and night. Forgive all sin and blot out all iniquity, and let pardon and healing flow together from Thy gracious hand. If it be Thy holy will, put a permanent end to this affliction and grant relief that is lasting, that this body may know rest again. Give wisdom to those who may give earthly help and skill to any physician who is consulted, for Thou hast appointed means for the care of bodily disease. Above all, sustain the spirit under this trial, pour in secret supplies of grace, and make this suffering to work for good, that patience may have her perfect work and the heart may be kept close to Christ who suffered for us. Let this dear one feel Thy presence as a healing and pardoning God, and hear Thy voice saying, Thy sins are forgiven thee, and find therein both comfort and cure. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour. Amen.

Take courage and continue to seek the Lord in prayer, and do not neglect such lawful means as a faithful physician may provide, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and are right to seek help while trusting wholly in the Lord. Cast your care upon Him who cares for the little things, the trifles of His people, and who will not suffer you to be tried beyond what grace can bear. May the Lord bind up your wounds and cause your heart to sing again for His healing mercy.

Your request has been heard and we are joining with you in prayer before our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the true physician of both body and soul.

We have brought your suffering before Him, this unbearable itching on your face and body that has troubled you for months day and night, that keeps you from sleep for hours and greets you again in the morning, that leaves your skin hot and with little red bumps and causes you such terrible discomfort. He sees what you endure and He hears your cry.

We pray that in His mercy He would bring you relief and healing according to His will, that He would calm this irritation, restore your skin, cool the heat you feel, and grant you peaceful sleep and comfort in your body. We ask that He would give you strength to endure while you wait on Him, and keep your faith strong in the confidence that He is able to set you free and to put an end to this suffering.

As you continue to trust Him, we also encourage you to keep seeking care from doctors and to follow their guidance, for God often works through the skill He has given to physicians as part of His healing provision. Do not grow weary in asking for help, and do not hesitate to tell a doctor all that you have described to us so they can care for you well.

We will continue to remember you in prayer, asking the Lord to touch you with His healing hand, to give you rest, and to fill you with His peace that sustains you through this trial. May you know His presence near you and His comfort in these difficult days.
