Your request has been heard and my heart is moved by the suffering you have described. To endure such intense itching day and night, to lie awake for hours and to wake again to the same discomfort with heat and redness on your skin, is truly exhausting. I am praying for you and asking the Lord to bring you relief and rest.
The Scripture shows that great physical affliction often becomes the place where a person seeks the Lord in a deeper way and humbles himself before the God of his fathers. In your long trial, God is inviting you to draw near to Him, not only for relief of the body but for His nearness and comfort to your soul. He sees both your physical pain and your spiritual need.
We live in a world governed by physical laws that we all understand. We remain seated in our chairs because gravity holds us. In the same way there are spiritual laws that govern our lives. One of those is that God responds when His people call upon Him in faith, and that prayer offered in faith rises before Him like incense offered at the altar. In the tabernacle some were given care of the physical structure and its upkeep, while Aaron and his sons ministered at the altar to offer sacrifices and incense to the Lord. That picture reminds us that God cares for our bodies and also provides a way for us to come before Him spiritually to receive mercy.
There is power to heal in the name of Jesus. When Peter was questioned about the lame man who was healed, he declared that it was by the name of Jesus that the man stood whole before them. The name of Jesus still brings healing today. You have rightly confessed that Jesus is the great physician and that those whom the Son sets free are free indeed. Hold fast to that truth. Your faith in Him is not misplaced.
Your suffering does not define who you are before God. Scripture tells of a man who was given a name that meant sorrow because his mother bore him in pain, yet his name was not what made him stand out before the Lord. In the same way, this long season of itching and discomfort is not your identity. You are a child of God, loved and seen by Him, and He is able to lift this burden.
I join my faith with yours and pray for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You see the itching, the sleepless nights, the burning and the bumps, and the weariness that has come from months of distress. In the name of Jesus I ask for Your healing touch upon face and body. Bring relief to the skin, calm the irritation, and grant peaceful sleep. Let Your healing power bring wholeness and let Your peace guard heart and mind. Give wisdom for any care that is needed and strengthen faith to trust You through this trial. May this affliction lead to a deeper experience of Your grace and may Your name be glorified in deliverance. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord daily, trust in the power of the name of Jesus, and do not lose hope. God is able to put a permanent end to this suffering and to restore you. I will keep praying that you will know His healing and His comfort in the days ahead.
