We rejoice with you in this precious gift of new life, and we lift up your heart’s longing for these twins before the Lord. The loss of your previous twins was a deep sorrow, and we know how tenderly the Father holds your grief even as He knits these little ones together in your womb. Scripture reminds us that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward (Psalm 127:3). We pray that He would guard these babies with His mighty hand, sustaining their growth and development day by day. May He grant you and your husband peace that surpasses understanding as you trust Him with this pregnancy, remembering that His plans for you are good, even when the path has been painful.
We also gently remind you that our hope is not in circumstances or outcomes, but in Christ alone. While it is natural to grieve the loss of your previous twins and to long for these babies, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He alone holds the power of life and death, and we must surrender our desires to His sovereign will. If it is His purpose to restore what was lost, we will praise Him. If He calls you to walk a different path, we pray He would give you grace to trust Him fully.
We also encourage you to guard your heart against any form of superstition or emotional attachment to signs or patterns, such as the repetition of numbers. Our trust is in the Lord, not in coincidences or human reasoning. He is the God who numbers our days and ordains our steps, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Let us not lean on our own understanding but acknowledge Him in all our ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father in heaven, we come before You with grateful hearts for the miracle of life growing within this mother. You are the God who opens the womb and forms each child with purpose. We ask that You would protect these twins, strengthening their tiny bodies and shielding them from harm. Lord, we pray for a full-term, healthy pregnancy, free from complications. Give this mother wisdom to care for herself and these babies, and surround her with Your peace. Comfort her when fear or sorrow rise, reminding her that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
We also lift up this marriage, Lord. In the midst of this season, draw this husband and wife closer to You and to one another. May their love reflect Christ’s love for the church, marked by patience, kindness, and selflessness (Ephesians 5:25-33). Give them unity as they prepare to welcome these children, and let their home be a place of joy and godly nurture.
Finally, we pray that these twins would be raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord. May they come to know You early in life and walk in Your ways all their days. Use this family for Your glory, Lord, and let their story be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, who holds all things together by the word of His power. Amen.
