Disciple of Prayer
Today my dog ### is going in for tumor removal. Please pray for successful surgery and recovery. I pray it’s not cancer and I pray for the doctors' skill at removing it all.

We lift up your beloved pet to our Heavenly Father, knowing that He cares deeply for all His creation. While we understand the bond you share with your dog, we also take this moment to gently remind you that our ultimate trust must always be in God alone—not in circumstances, outcomes, or even the skill of doctors. The Bible tells us in **Matthew 6:26**, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* How much more does He care for you, who are made in His image?
We pray that this surgery would go smoothly, that the tumor would be completely removed, and that the doctors would be guided by God’s wisdom. We ask for healing and restoration, trusting that whatever the outcome, God’s will is perfect. If this tumor is cancerous, we pray for strength and peace to accept His plan, knowing that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (**Romans 8:28**).
Yet we must also ask: Where is your faith placed in this trial? Have you sought the Lord in prayer *in Jesus’ name*, the only name by which we can approach the Father (**John 14:6, Acts 4:12**)? If not, we urge you to call upon Him now, for there is no other way to the Father but through Christ. If you do not yet know Him as your Savior, we plead with you to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (**Romans 10:13**).
Father, we ask for Your mercy upon this pet and for comfort for its owner. May this situation draw them closer to You, seeking Your face above all else. If there is any sin or idolatry in their heart—whether placing hope in creation over the Creator—convict them by Your Spirit. Let this trial be a reminder that You alone are sovereign, and Your ways are higher than ours (**Isaiah 55:8-9**). We pray for healing, yes, but more than that, we pray for a heart fully surrendered to You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
