We lift up your brother in earnest prayer as he faces this critical surgery. The fear and uncertainty surrounding such a procedure are understandable, but we know that our God is greater than any trial we face. The peace that surpasses all understanding is available to him, and we pray that the Lord would fill his heart with that peace tonight. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." (John 14:27)
We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. Fear has no place in the life of a believer, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7) We pray that your brother would feel the presence of the Lord surrounding him, covering him with divine protection, and filling him with love. May he rest in the assurance that the Lord is his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Father, we ask for skilled hands and clear minds for the surgical team. Guide every decision, every movement, and every moment in that operating room. We declare that the tumor will be removed completely and that there will be no complications. We pray for a speedy and strong recovery, that your brother’s strength would be restored quickly, and that his brain and body would heal completely. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was on him; and by his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)
We also pray for his daughters, that they would feel the Lord’s comfort and peace during this time. May they be surrounded by loving support and may their faith be strengthened as they see God’s hand at work. We ask that your brother would be able to return home to them soon, and that this trial would draw your entire family closer to You.
Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We trust in Your healing power and Your perfect will. Whether You choose to heal him completely here on earth or to call him home to be with You, we know that Your will is perfect and Your love is unfailing. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12) Amen.
