We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been continuing to lift you up as you seek to make peace in your family and to take the first step toward reconciliation with your grandsons father.
We remember how you shared that you have carried anger toward him for how he treated your daughter and your grandchildren, but that after all these years you want to put that anger behind you and get along for the sake of your grandchildren and the new life coming in November. We have been praying for that new baby and for your desire to plan a baby shower, even though you shared that you are not sure how to plan it and your family does not seem ready to help, and that his girlfriend and her family also want to have a shower. We have asked the Lord to make a way for you to work together or to invite him and his girlfriend to share in the celebration as a step toward healing.
We take encouragement from Matt 5:9 which reminds us that peacemakers are blessed, and from Rom 12:18 which calls us to live at peace with everyone as far as it depends on us. We have been praying that God will soften hearts, help you to release anger and forgive as in Eph 4:32, provide wisdom and helping hands for the shower preparations, and bring unity to your family before the baby arrives.
