Trying to "justify" sin

How many times have you heard about someone who did something wrong, give their "reasons" for it,thinking if they did the wrong act,and reasoning that if it was done with "good intentions",that overrides the sin.Like, someone robs someone, then says,"Well, I did it to feed my kids because I had no money. I'm no thief"{You're no thieff? You just robbed someone, what would you call that?}They may try to hasten the death of a relative whose inheritance they get, saying they needed the money, and if you quote from the Bible on that, and ask how they would reconcile it,they say something like,"I'm sure God will understand. He knows I killed the rich relative for a "good cause",because I needed the money."Or a woman getting an abortion,"Well, I "saved" the baby, they wouldn't have had a good life anyway."Ok…so, given their "logic",trying to ease their conscience by saying the circumstances "justified" the sin, does the Bible really say that?Uh, what I see in the Bible doesn't seem to bear it out. "When it says, "Thou shall not steal", I don't recall reading,"Unless you're doing it to help another, then it "whitewashes it". Or about murder, etc. Far as I'm concerned, these "excuses" aren't Biblically based.Huh?

I personally don't understand how someone can read in the Bible to count it all joy or take no thought for your life and then completely ignore what they just read and still think they are following Jesus even though I used to do that although I didn't understand how to take no thought for my life until I was completely and utterly tired of my life.

You mean until you became an ostrich.

You mean until you became an ostrich.

Do you know why an ostrich puts it's head in the sand Steven? I know I asked you this before but now I will tell you why, it is because they bury eggs and they are turning them but it seems only the female does this. It is a myth that they keep their heads in the sand Steven. A male ostrich doesn't even seem to do this Steven so it is a full on myth, a lie isn't it? Maybe look it up for yourself.

Maybe read the book of Hosea to see God's control over your life Steven and pull your own head out of the ignorance you appear to be in.

What I posted originally goes with your post Steven as your very title is posted as trying to justify sin Steven.

You can try to justify sin if you want but not honoring all of God's instructions in His Word is sin isn't it? There is only One way out of punishment for our sins Steven and that is through Jesus, asking for forgiveness and doing our best to honor all of Christ's instructions even if at first we don't understand them Steven.

I hope you apply that also to the SPECIFIC PEOPLE I was referring to, that was the original subject of the blog NOT the question, have you noticed ME doing thus?It was a general question, but you saw it as an opportunity to take a shot at me.{What else is new?}I am a voice crying out in the wilderness, calling out sin, yet you turn the attack on me. You "cover for" the sins I notice, yet point accusing fingers at me. Now while you're always insinuating I"M the false Christian,if I call out sin,and you get on me for doing it,that's what the devil does, so where does that leave you?{But because your pride and ego and self righteousness rule you, you'll never see your own faults.}Oh and by the way...look up on Google or even a dictionary, and you'll see there's more than one acceptable definition for something, like an ostrich also meaning a person who willfully closes their eyes to things they don't want to see.{You}This regimented mindset of yours is ,like legalism. But of course, you'll never see your own faults, and will defend yourself for pointing them out. Also, I have to explain things over and over to you, like you're 3 years old.So you know what? the best thing to do is let you rant on,and ignore you.We don't like each other, it is what it is,but to let you goad me into arguments, not worth my time. Ramble on by yourself with your cheap shots you take at me.

I don't have any self righteousness on my own Steven for my righteousness is only what Jesus places in me as His rightesnous. You may not like me but you don't have any right to speak of how I feel about you for I have nothing but love for you, the love Jesus gives me for others.

You mention troubles that you have in your life and those troubles I use to have right along with you until I learned to stop thinking about them by following the instructions Jesus gives us that you can't seem to follow nor can you seem to understand them for by following the instructions our lives change to exactly what you would like your life to be like yet you won't even try. You are only suffering for not following Jesus by doing His Instructions for His Promises follow His Instructions by hunting for us and overtaking us.

You compare me to an ostrich or call me an ostrich which is a blessing for me because we have a God who renders the curses others make against us right back to the person who makes or tries to make them against us. We don't have to suffer for a lack of knowledge Steven if we study to approve ourselves unto God. Would you really like to become like a beast of the wilderness that you have absolutely no idea what they are like? Isn't that what you are asking for Steven according to the Words of Jesus? Have you ever read about what happened to King Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel?

Do you really think that what I post is only for you Steven?

All Christians should be fasting and praying for your friends who sin against God on a daily basis, your loved ones and anyone you see around. Pray for them so they will cleanse their hearts from all evil and will be on their way to heaven.
