Trying To Cope

My hope is that prayer warriors can take one moment and petition on my behalf. The pain of this separation from my wife and subsequently, family, is almost unbearable. She continues to have a “friend†relationship which I consider to be emotional adultery and I am not handling it well. I have verbally exploded in anger numerous times. I love my wife and believe as stated in Malachi that God hates divorce. Please pray that her hardened heart be softened and that the Lord would place a hedge of thorns around her as spoken of in Hosea. Also, that I am able to endure this devastating situation in a Christ-like manner. Thank you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you because there is a pain in Howard wife’s heart that runs so deep only you can repair it.

Lord, we trust in the goodness of you, but the goodness of people is not as reliable. Lord, I ask that you give Howard's Wife the courage and wisdom to listen to your still small voice and protect her emotions as she obeys what you tell her.

Lord, help Howard to focus his attention on his relationship with you. May he continue to treat his wife with honor, respect and love...even when she is undeserving. Help him to see that treating her like she is ALREADY the wife he longs her to be is the only way he can please you. This can be so difficult to do when we are emotionally charged because we are not being treated fairly. Let him be the husband she dreams of. Please fill Howard with all the love that he needs to make the decisions that are healthiest for him and the family.

Bless Howard's wife, this child of God, with the right people to surround and protect her with the proper support. Give Howar's wife the courage to reach out for prayer and sound counseling.

Ground Howard's wife in the truth of your word, and show her how precious she is in your sight. Build Howard's wife’s self-worth in you so that she will have no desire to look elsewhere.

We cast down the spirit of Jezebel and any other demonic force that is attacking this marriage.

Lord, Howard-desires to serve and honor you. Show him how to be the husband you desire him to be. Show him how to focus on you, on your will beyond anything else.

We ask that as Howard submits to you as the God in his life you will reward him quickly as this situation is heartbreaking and confusing. You are not the author of confusion so speak wisdom, understanding and strength to Howard. Bring reconciliation to this Marriage, this covenant between you three.

In Jesus precious name, give Howard a double-fold increase in faith, trust and love for you and keep holding his hand as he walks down your path.

Gently turn his wife's heart toward you, Lord and as she seeks your face, heal that heart so that will never be the same again. In Jesus’ name, we thank you for all that you are doing in the spiritual realm, for we go by faith not by sight, Amen.
