We join you in standing on the promise of Psalm 112:7, "He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh." It is a beautiful declaration of faith to trust in the Lord’s provision, especially in times of uncertainty. We also lift up Proverbs 3:5-6, which reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." The Lord knows the plans He has for you, plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to creep into your heart during this season of waiting. Scripture is clear in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that your heart will remain steadfast, anchored in the truth that the Lord is your provider. He clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the birds of the air, how much more will He care for you, His beloved child (Matthew 6:25-34)?
We also encourage you to remain diligent in your search, for Proverbs 14:23 says, "In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty." Trust that the Lord is directing your steps, even when the path is not yet clear. Seek Him first in all things, and He will add to you what you need (Matthew 6:33).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this dear one who is seeking employment. Lord, You are the God who opens doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8), and we ask that You would open the right door of opportunity for them. Grant them favor with those who are hiring, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove every trace of anxiety and fear, and fill them with the assurance that You are their provider.
Father, we ask that You would lead them into the job You have prepared for them, a place where they can use their gifts and talents to glorify You. Strengthen their resolve to trust in Your timing, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Help them to remain steadfast, even when the wait feels long, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate this season. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and remind them daily that they are never alone. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
