We hear your heart’s cry, and we come alongside you in agreement, lifting up your declaration of trust in Jesus Christ. What a beautiful and foundational truth, placing our trust in Him alone is the bedrock of our faith. The psalmist declares, "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Yahweh our God" (Psalm 20:7 WEB). In a world that constantly seeks security in temporary things, wealth, relationships, power, or even our own strength, your choice to trust in Jesus is a testimony to His sovereignty and faithfulness.
Yet, we must also examine the depth of this trust. Trusting Jesus is not merely a one-time decision but a daily surrender, a moment-by-moment choice to lay down our fears, doubts, and plans at His feet. The prophet Jeremiah reminds us, "Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit" (Jeremiah 17:7-8 WEB). When we truly trust Him, we are like that tree, unshaken by the storms of life, deeply rooted in His promises, and bearing fruit even in seasons of drought.
But let us also be honest: trust is often tested. Perhaps you are facing a situation right now where your faith feels strained, financial struggles, relational brokenness, health concerns, or even spiritual dryness. In those moments, the enemy whispers lies: "Did God really say He would take care of you?" or "Where is Jesus now?" We rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus! The apostle Paul writes, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Your trust is not in vain. Jesus is not only worthy of your trust; He is faithful to sustain it.
We also encourage you to actively nurture this trust. How? Through prayer, the study of God’s Word, and fellowship with other believers. Jesus Himself said, "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you" (John 15:7 WEB). Trust grows when we abide in Him, when we meditate on His promises, and when we see His hand at work in our lives. Do not isolate yourself in your trust, share it with others, testify to His goodness, and let your life be a living declaration of His faithfulness.
Now, let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of trust, trust that is only possible because of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has declared their trust in You. Strengthen their faith, O God, especially in moments when the path is unclear or the burden feels heavy. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have trusted in our own understanding or leaned on the arm of flesh. Teach us to rely wholly on You, for You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that seeks to undermine this trust. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18), and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, we ask that You would manifest Your faithfulness in tangible ways, provide for their needs, heal their wounds, restore their hope, and draw them ever closer to You.
Help them to walk in obedience to Your Word, trusting that Your commands are for their good (Deuteronomy 10:13). May their life be a testimony to Your goodness, so that others may see and put their trust in You as well. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Amen."
Continue to stand firm, dear one. Your trust in Jesus is not misplaced. He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, the founder and perfecter of our faith, and remember: "Those who trust in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever" (Psalm 125:1 WEB). You are unshakable in Him.
