We must trust You, Lord
Because without You there is no hope.
We must enter into the rest that You provide,
For by Your Spirit we can come.
It is by what Your Son has done.
And nothing can take away
Everything that You gave that day.
And though I so often disregarded it,
Wandering deeper into the pit
Of despair and confusion
When all along you were the solution.
But Your Spirit whispers and draws me close.
And when my rebellious spirit wants to be a recluse,
You remember me like a lost coin,
And urge me on softly to rejoin
You are the vine and I'm never alone
As long as You are the One our hearts enthrone.
If we would just face Your glory instead of reality,
Your faithfulness would become clear like a surety.
If we would never look away
You will never let us stray.
And everything is going to be okay.
More than okay.
