We join with you in bringing this deep longing for true love before the Lord, and we understand how powerfully the heart desires to both receive and give love that is pure, honest and unconditional. We pray with you that what you have felt would be tested by truth and made manifest only if it is truly from God.

We want to gently remind you that true love in its purest form comes first from God himself. We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19. His love is described for us in this way, Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. This is the love we pray you will first receive fully from Him and then be enabled to return to others. Feelings alone can be fleeting and even deceiving, for the heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it. Jeremiah 17:9. That is why we must ask God to guard our hearts, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23, and to delight ourselves in Him first, Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4.

We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can come boldly to His throne. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is through faith in Jesus that we are forgiven, made new, and able to love with a pure and holy love.

Regarding the love you seek to receive and return, we want to encourage you according to biblical principles. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. Genesis 2:24. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Hebrews 13:4. If God brings true love into your life, we pray it will be with a fellow believer in Christ, for we are told, Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. We encourage you to view any such relationship not as mere partnership or dating for feeling alone, but as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. True purity means honoring God with your body and fleeing from fornication, which is sex before or outside of marriage, for we are told, Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. A love that is pure and honest will wait for and honor the marriage covenant.

So we pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this heart that longs for true love. Lord, You know the desire to love and be loved purely and unconditionally. We ask that You first fill this heart with the full assurance of Your unconditional love, that any love received from another would flow from Your love. If it is Your will to bring a godly spouse into this life, we pray You would do so in Your perfect timing. Prepare both hearts to honor You, to remain pure, to be honest and faithful, and to seek marriage that glorifies You. If the love that was felt before was not according to Your truth and holiness, we pray You would heal that place, remove what is not of You, and guard against returning to what is not Your best. Help this dear one to walk in discernment, to test every feeling by Your Word and Your Spirit, and to trust Your will above all. We ask that You manifest Your perfect love and purpose, and that You would lead toward a Christ centered marriage if that is Your plan. We pray for patience, hope, and holiness while waiting upon You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear the deep longing in your words for love that is real and steady, love you can both receive and give in a pure and honest way. That desire for faithful, unconditional love is a good and God-given one, and we are praying with you that God shapes that longing and guides it in His timing.

One thing we have found helpful is learning that people often give and receive love in different ways. Some feel most loved through encouraging words, others through time together, acts of service, thoughtful gifts, or gentle physical presence. We tend to offer love the way we most want to receive it, and can miss each other even when our hearts are sincere. Simply noticing how you most feel loved, and how you naturally show love to others, can bring clarity. It can also help to talk that through with a trusted pastor or mature Christian friend who knows you well.

Loneliness can also tempt us to pull inward, so we encourage you to stay rooted in community where love is practiced day to day, worshiping with others, serving alongside them, and letting friendships grow slowly and honestly.

Father, we bring this dear heart before You in Jesus' name. You see this longing for true love and You know every hope and disappointment carried. Give wisdom, healing, and patience, and teach how to both receive love well and offer it faithfully. Lead in Your perfect way and keep this heart close to You. Amen.

Your prayer for a love that is pure, honest and unconditional touches a longing which every renewed heart understands, for love is of God and God is love. We are taught in Scripture that we love Him because He first loved us, and all true love in us is but a spark of that eternal flame which burns in His own heart toward us.

That love of God toward sinners is love abounding. It springs not from any merit or beauty in us, but from Himself, for His nature is love. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us, and therein God commended His love toward us in a way which many waters cannot quench and floods cannot drown. Until the heart has drunk abundantly of that cup, it will seek in vain for a love that is abiding and true elsewhere.

True love, as God gives it, is not mere talk or fleeting feeling, but real, practical and faithful. It constrains the heart, it keeps His commandments, it rejoices not in iniquity but rejoices in the truth. The love which is pure will desire purity, the love which is honest will walk in light, and the love which would be unconditional must first be rooted in Him whose love to us is everlasting and without condition of merit in ourselves.

My prayer for you is that the Lord would first fill you with the conscious enjoyment of His own love in Christ Jesus, that you may know you are His and that His love abides upon you notwithstanding all. Out of that fullness may there arise in your own heart a love toward Him that is fervent and faithful, never quenched. And as you walk in that love, may He in His wisdom and providence grant you, if it be His holy will, that true and pure love for which you long, formed according to His own design for lifelong covenant love between one man and one woman, kept honourable and undefiled before Him, and made manifest in holiness and truth. If that loving feeling of which you speak be not according to His wisdom and holiness, may He graciously correct it, quench what is not of Himself, and satisfy your soul with that better portion which remains.

Give yourself to meditation upon His person and His cross, and labour to realize more of Him, for He presses the provisions of His love upon you and invites you to drink abundantly. Ask Him to teach you to love as He loves, faithfully, patiently and truly, to His glory.

We will continue to pray that you may know more of the immeasurable love of God in giving His Son for you, and that you may be kept in the joy and purity of it.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire for love that is pure, honest and unconditional is a good and God given desire, and it is right to bring it to Him in prayer.

True love as Scripture shows it is not only a feeling to be felt, but a life to be lived. It is the mother of all blessings, and it has no limit or satiety. The Apostle prays that your love may abound yet more and more, but he adds, in knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ. Love without judgment and without reason is weak and can lead us astray, even when it feels strong. Love that is from God is with judgment, with reason, with a pure heart.

So we pray with you not only for love to be given and returned, but for love to be made true in God's sense of true. That is love without pretense, warm and genuine, first rooted in the love of Christ who became man for love of us and had compassion on us when we were perishing. When His love remains in us, we learn to love as we ought.

We ask God to fill your heart with His own love, to make it abound, and to keep it pure. Blessed are the pure in heart, and every virtue is purity. May He guard your heart from envy, from deceit, from rejoicing in what is wrong, and from holding to what is false, and may He make you sincere before Him and without cause for stumbling before others. If you are seeking love in the form of marriage, we pray that God would lead you, in His time and wisdom, toward a love that reflects His design, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where intimacy and life together belong within that covenant and are kept holy.

We also pray that whether God brings a particular person into your life or not, you would know the debt of love we always owe to one another, to love all people as brothers and sisters, to honor others above yourself, and to let love be without hypocrisy. Do not wait only to be loved, but be the first to show kindly affection, and stay close to the fellowship of believers, for assembling together makes love more warm and from love all good works proceed.

May the Lord grant you discernment to recognize what is excellent and profitable, patience to wait on His will, and a heart that loves for God's sake and remains faithful. May any love you give and receive be honest, chaste, steadfast, and centered in Christ, so that what you have felt in your heart may be manifested, if it is His will, in a way that is holy and brings Him glory.
