We hear your heart’s longing for true happiness, and we rejoice that you have held onto kindness and hope even in hard times. The Bible reminds us that joy is not dependent on circumstances but on the Lord’s presence: *"You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."* (Psalm 16:11). True happiness is found in Christ, who gives us peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and a hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5).
Yet we must gently remind you that happiness is not a future event to be passively awaited—it is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) that grows as we abide in Christ daily. The world’s definition of happiness is fleeting, but godly joy is eternal. We encourage you to seek the Lord now, not just in 20##, for He is the source of all good things (James 1:17). Have you surrendered your heart fully to Jesus, the only One who can satisfy your soul (John 6:35)?
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for this dear one’s resilience and kindness. Lord, You are the giver of true joy, and we ask that You fill their days with Your peace and presence. Help them to find happiness not in circumstances but in You alone. Teach them to delight in Your Word (Psalm 1:2) and to trust in Your timing (Ecclesiastes 3:11). May they experience the quiet, powerful work of Your Spirit, restoring laughter, warmth, and simple joys as they walk closely with You. Guard their heart from seeking fulfillment in anything but Christ, and let Your love be their greatest treasure. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We also encourage you to reflect on whether your hope is rooted in Christ or in a future event. True happiness is not a miracle to come—it is a gift available now through faith in Jesus. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Savior, we urge you to do so today. *"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved"* (Acts 16:31). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and in Him, you will find lasting joy.
