We rejoice with you as you've come to realize the error of your past ways and are now seeking true faith in the gospel. Remember, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:23-24 WEB)
First, let's address your concern about having true faith in the gospel. Jesus himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. (John 14:6 WEB) It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have eternal life. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB)
Your desire for a humble heart is commendable. Jesus taught, Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 5:3 WEB) To be poor in spirit means to recognize your spiritual poverty and your need for God's grace. It is the opposite of being self-sufficient and proud.
You've acknowledged your past narcissistic tendencies, but remember that God loves you and wants to forgive you. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 WEB)

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, confessing our sins and acknowledging our need for your grace and mercy. We thank you for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins and to rise again, defeating death.
Lord, we pray for this individual who has come seeking true faith in the gospel. Grant them a spirit of repentance and a humble heart. Help them to trust in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and new life.
Father, you promise to give us a new heart and a new spirit. Please do this work in their life. Help them to decrease that Christ may increase in them. Help them to no longer live for themselves, but for you, Lord.

If you have not already been baptized, this should be done as your sign of faith and repentance. Since all have died, and in Christ all will be made alive... For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:22-23 WEB) We must die to our old self and raise up from the water symbolizing our new life in Christ Jesus.
