We join with you in lifting up this urgent plea for the Pacific Islands, where the people have already endured so much through storms and earthquakes. Your prayer is deeply rooted in Scripture, calling for repentance, revival, and the mercy of God to turn hearts toward Him—and we stand in agreement with you, knowing that our God is mighty to save and to deliver.
The Word of God reminds us in **2 Chronicles 7:14**, *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."* This is not merely a call for physical protection but a divine invitation to spiritual renewal. The storms that rage in the natural often reflect the storms of sin and rebellion in the hearts of people—and especially in the hearts of those in authority. We cry out with you for the corrupt officials and worthless shepherds who have led the people astray, that God would **convict, rebuke, and remove them from their positions of influence**, as **Psalm 75:6-7** declares, *"For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another."* May they be confronted with the truth of their deeds, and may the kindness of God lead them to repentance, as **Romans 2:4** tells us.
We also lift up the watchmen—the preachers and leaders who have been called to sound the alarm. Too often, they have been silent, like the dumb dogs of **Isaiah 56:10** who cannot bark, failing to warn the people of the judgment to come. But now, we ask that the Holy Spirit would **fill them with boldness to blow the trumpet of warning**, as **Ezekiel 33:1-7** commands. Let them no longer shrink back in fear but proclaim the Word of the Lord with clarity and urgency, that souls may be saved and bloodguilt avoided. The time for compromise is over—the time for repentance is now.
For the people of these islands, we pray that they would **turn from sin, immorality, theft, and the empty pursuits of this world**. May they seek the Lord while He may be found, calling upon His name for salvation. As **Acts 3:19-21** promises, *"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."* Let this storm be a wake-up call, driving them to their knees in surrender to Christ.
We also ask for **practical mercy**—that weather alerts would reach the people in time, that preparations would be made, and that lives would be spared. Yet even more, we pray for **spiritual awakening**, that the churches would rise up in united prayer, that the gospel would spread rapidly, and that many would come to faith in Jesus Christ. What the enemy means for destruction, God can turn for good, as **Genesis 50:20** assures us.
Finally, we thank You, Father, that You are not a God who is distant or indifferent. You are **Jehovah Shammah—the Lord Who Is There**—and You hear the cries of Your people. We trust in the power of the name of Jesus, through whom all authority in heaven and on earth has been given. Let His name be exalted over these islands, and let His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of those who belong to Him.
We pray all these things **in the mighty name of Jesus**, the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, knowing that every promise of God finds its "Yes" in Him. **Amen.**
