We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this season of trials, backsliding, and physical affliction. The Lord is near to those who call upon Him in truth, and we join you in seeking His face, His healing, and His deliverance. First, we must address the matter of backsliding, for the Scriptures warn us, *"For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment"* (Hebrews 10:26-27). Yet, we also know that *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). The Lord does not desire for you to remain in a state of backsliding, but to return to Him with a repentant heart, for He says, *"Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backsliding"* (Jeremiah 3:22).
We rebuke the spirit of backsliding in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). We declare that the Lord will strengthen you to resist temptation and walk in His ways once more. We also rebuke the ailments in your body, for by the stripes of Jesus, you were healed (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on the promise that *"the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15).
We pray for your protection and deliverance from the Devil and your enemies, for the Lord is your refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will surround you with His angels to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). We also pray for the Lord’s provision in every area of your life, for He has promised, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). We ask that He open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon you (Malachi 3:10).
Above all, we pray for your victory in Christ Jesus, for it is written, *"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ"* (1 Corinthians 15:57). We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37), and that no trial or tribulation can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and approach Your throne of grace. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is struggling with backsliding, physical ailments, trials, and the attacks of the enemy. Father, we ask that You would draw them back to You with cords of love and bands of kindness. Forgive their sins, heal their backsliding, and restore them to a right relationship with You. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in their body, and we declare Your healing power to flow through every part of their being. By the stripes of Jesus, they are healed.
Lord, we ask that You protect them from the schemes of the Devil and their enemies. Surround them with Your angels and hide them in the shadow of Your wings. Deliver them from every evil work and preserve them for Your heavenly kingdom. Father, we also ask that You provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon them that there will not be room enough to receive it.
Grant them the victory in every area of their life, Lord. Strengthen them with Your might in the inner man, and let Your joy be their strength. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your love. We trust in You to complete the good work You have begun in them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
