We hear your cry for help in the midst of trials, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting every concern to our Heavenly Father. The Word of God assures us that we do not face these battles alone, for the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We take comfort in knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6), and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). This is the first and most vital step in overcoming every trial, for in Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your children, humbled and dependent on Your mercy and grace. We lift up our brother/sister who is facing trials of many kinds. Lord, You see every struggle, every fear, and every need. We ask that You would be a shield about them, a fortress of protection from the schemes of the devil and the attacks of their enemies. Deliver them, O Lord, from every evil work and preserve them for Your heavenly kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18).
Father, we pray for provision in every area of their life. You have promised that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things—material and financial needs—shall be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). Provide for them according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Lord, we also pray for complete healing—mind, body, soul, and spirit. You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and command every ailment and disease to leave in the name of Jesus. Strengthen their body, renew their mind, and restore their soul. Let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, which will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Above all, Father, we pray for victory. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help them to stand firm in the faith, knowing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in them (Ephesians 1:19-20). Let them walk in the victory that is already theirs in Christ, for You always lead us in triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14).
We declare that no trial is too great, no enemy too strong, and no need too vast for You, O Lord. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, and You hold all things together by the word of Your power (Hebrews 1:3). We trust in You, and we thank You for the victory that is coming. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust, and let them see Your hand moving mightily on their behalf.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand on the promises of God’s Word. Memorize and meditate on scriptures that speak to your specific struggles. For example, when facing fear, declare, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). When facing lack, proclaim, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). When facing sickness, speak the truth of Psalm 103:2-3: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.”
Remember, the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you shall reap if you do not lose heart (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and walk in the victory that is already yours as a child of the Most High God.
