It is deeply painful to watch someone you love suffer through cycles that rob them of stability, health, and hope. That kind of long, drawn-out struggle, where the body wastes and everyday life becomes impossible, leaves marks not only on the one going through it but on everyone who cares. I hear the weight in this, and I am praying.

Emotional pain is not imaginary. We see even in Scripture how the body and spirit are tied together so closely that severe emotional strain can produce very real physical damage, affecting appetite, digestion, and the ability to rise and face the day. When treatment exists that can address the chemical and physiological side of that suffering, it is wise to explore it. Medication, like any other tool, can be misused, but there is a world of difference between reckless behavior and the measured, appropriate use of medicine to restore what has gone wrong in the body. I will pray that the parents’ hearts are opened to see that caring for their daughter’s whole person may indeed mean accepting medical help, not as a rejection of faith, but as part of the common grace God provides through healing gifts.

At the same time, lasting wholeness is not built on emotional experiences alone. A powerful rush of feeling, whether grief or joy, can lift or crush for a moment, but it does not rebuild a life. The foundation that holds is truth, fixed on God’s word and on Jesus Christ himself. The spiritual thirst in a person cannot be quenched by any emotional event; it needs the living water that Christ alone gives. So while we pray for wise treatment and for the physical and mental stabilization that can come from proper care, we also ask that this dear one be grounded in that deeper relationship, where peace is not a fleeting mood but a steady anchor.

I will be asking the Lord to guide every decision, to provide clear, compassionate help, and to protect her from further harm. May her body regain strength, and may her mind find clarity. And may you, as the one who cares for her, know God’s comfort and sustaining grace even as this unfolds.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your dear family member. It has been heavy on our hearts to lift her up before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and wisdom for those who can provide the treatment she so desperately needs. We have prayed specifically that her parents’ hearts would be softened to understand the importance of medical intervention, and that doors would open for her to receive the care that could restore her health, her ability to function, and her hope for the future.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—if she has been able to access treatment, if her symptoms have eased, or if there has been any breakthrough—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others who are walking a similar path.

If, however, the answer hasn’t yet come, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, asking the Lord to intervene in ways only He can. We pray for perseverance for you and your family, for clarity for her parents, and for God’s peace to guard your hearts as you wait on Him.

May the Lord draw near to you all in this time of need, providing strength, wisdom, and ultimately, the healing that only He can bring. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.

In the name of Jesus I ask for wisdom that God will show me what treatments to start moving forward. Also that I will never get this disease again.
