Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this request and for wanting to commit your family and your travels into the Lord's hands. That is the right place to begin.
From the beginning God established the family, creating man and woman and bringing them together as one, and He has always shown His care for families. Scripture follows one family line through history to bring blessing to all families through Jesus Christ, which shows how much He values the family unit you are praying for.
The Bible also reveals God as our protector and covering. When He spoke to Job about creation He described wrapping the earth with coverings, blankets of water and atmosphere that shield it, and that picture helps us understand His character. He still surrounds His people with His protection. What can look like only natural provision is really His gracious hand keeping us.
We see that same protection in the story of Noah. By faith Noah trusted and obeyed God, and God provided an ark as a place of safety and refuge from judgment. God invited Noah and his family to come inside, and God Himself shut them in. They were safe inside while judgment was outside, not because Noah was perfect, but because he believed God and God counted him as righteous.
That is still how God protects us. Our ultimate safety is not just on a road or in a journey, but in Christ Himself, who is our ark and our refuge. When we trust in Jesus, we are brought into a place of safety that no circumstance can take away.
I am praying for you and your family in Jesus' name that the Lord will keep you in His care as you travel. May He give you safety on the road, wisdom and alertness for every mile, protection from harm and danger, and peace in your hearts as you go and as you return. May His presence go with you as your covering and your refuge, and may He bring you home safely according to His will.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may you know His nearness throughout this journey as you trust Him. Amen.
