Thank you for sharing your heart and for beginning with thanksgiving for the blessings God has given. It is good and right to remember His mercies, for when we recall how often He has kept His hand over us in dangers and brought us through, our hearts are warmed to trust Him more and to give Him thanks continually.

We join you in prayer before our merciful Father.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your many mercies and for Your grace in Jesus Christ. We ask for Your protection and traveling mercies as this parent travels to and from the hospital to see their son. Keep them safe on the road, grant them alertness and peace, and guard their going out and coming in. We lift up their son to You and ask for Your care over him, for healing and strength according to Your will, and for comfort for all who love him. We also lift up the silent needs of this family which are unspoken before men but fully known to You. You see every burden, every worry, and every hope. Grant wisdom, provision, and peace that passes understanding, and help this family to present their lives to You in trust and obedience. Draw each one closer to Christ and sustain them by Your compassion. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Lord, who alone is our hope and salvation. Amen.

May the Lord keep you in His care as you travel and as you wait upon Him, and may you find renewed strength as you continue to recount His mercies day by day.
